ExcerptSteamFran Brenner sat in the sauna, a towel wrapped around her body. She liked coming here in the middle of the night. It was hell of a great muscle-relaxer, helping with her latest bout of insomnia. Carl, the owner, had gladly loaned her a key, no doubt hoping one day she’d give in and date him. No such plans. He wasn’t her type. No one seemed to be, yet. The perfect guy had to be tall, have sandy blond hair and preferably pale blue eyes, though gray or green would do. Near her age, around thirty, he had to be a white collar worker, wealthy, and able to support her so she could pursue her passion for art. There weren’t many guys who lived up to the profile. The door opened to the sauna. Startled, she turned to see a man with a towel wrapped around his waist. He retreated one step as he saw her sitting there. “Sorry, Carl said no one came here this time of night.” She eyed him up and down. Drop dead gorgeous, the guy had black hair and large chocolate brown eyes. He was older, she guessed mid to late forties. There was no doubt about his condition. He was muscular, but not a body builder, toned and slim. Thankfully, he wasn’t near her ideal, though her body reacted to his raw sex appeal. “You’re covered. If you want to join me, feel free.” He smiled. “Thanks.” He closed the door and sat a modest distance from her, darting furtive glances in her direction. “I guess you’re wondering why I come here in the middle of the night.” His voice melted over her like warm hot fudge. “No, not any more than you’re probably wondering about me. I just can’t sleep.” “I see.” He moved to face her and the towel partially separated in front, giving her an eyeful of powerful thigh, dark hair sprinkled on it. Her heartbeat increased. “I’m on my break.” “You work close by?” “I clean the building.” He’d flunked another one of the criteria. Why did she suddenly feel so disappointed? “Everybody has to work some time, unless they have money from some other source. I don’t. I just I work days.” She smirked. “Maybe I ought to find a night job. Then I could sleep during the day.” “If you have insomnia it’s just because you’re tense.” He smiled. Good, Lord, be still my heart. He lit up the sauna with his grin. Dimples, a cleft in his chin… The towel slipped a little more. And holy shit, a cock to go with them. “Turn around.” He motioned with his head. “Let me rub your back.” She debated if she dared let his hands touch her, and then slowly moved around, carefully clutching her towel to her body. He moved closer, his breath against her ear. Hands gripping each of her shoulders, he began to massage. “I learned to do this from a masseur one summer a long time ago.” She leaned into his powerful, yet soothing motions, her back making contact with his chest. When his sharp intake of breath matched her own, she didn’t pull away. “See, I’m already relaxing.” Her own voice was lower than before, and she admitted it was because she was beginning to lust after the man massaging her shoulders, wishing they were rubbing somewhere else. His hands moved further down her back, kneading the muscles in her shoulders, across the shoulder blades and touching that one place that always stayed tense. He probed deep into the tissue. “Your problem spot. I can feel it.” As he rubbed, her tension there slowly eased, but mounted further between her legs. Shit, what was happening to her? She wanted him to take her right here and she didn’t even know who he was. Of one thing she was certain. He sure as hell wasn’t packing a condom. Her towel slipped, falling to her waist. She started to grab it and wrap it back around her. “Don’t,” he whispered against her ear, one hand moving around her to the front side and cupping a breast. |
