Alex rolled off him, lay back, and tugged until he was leaning over her. She lifted her head to kiss him and slid her hands under the front of his shirt, exploring the hard plains of his chest and stomach. Wrapping her legs around his, she pulled him closer.
Breaking the kiss, she tried to tug his shirt over his head. He gave her an amused smile before taking it off and dropping it on the floor. Alex let her hands roam over his shoulders and pulled him back down. When their lips met again, their kiss was hot and desperate. They couldn’t seem to get enough of each other.
After being single for so long, it probably should have scared Alex to get so close to someone so fast, but it just felt right. She hadn’t thought it possible to find someone again. And then Hunter had walked through the door. At first, she’d thought Jonah would be the first guy she’d date since Michael. But once she’d seen Hunter, she hadn’t been aware of anyone else. It was like he was the only man in the room.
Hunter’s hand slipped under the edge of her tank top and caressed her stomach. Alex leaned in to his touch. When his other hand slid up her thigh, she arched against him. She hadn’t planned to take things so far, but the more Hunter gave her, the more she wanted. And right now, she wanted all of him.
Her hands reached for his jeans. She unfastened the button, but as she reached for the zipper, his hands covered hers.
“Slow down, sweetheart.”
She blushed and looked away. Weren’t guys suppose to be easy and the women supposed to play hard to get? It was embarrassing to have a guy back off.
He trailed kisses along her jaw to her ear. “I want you, too, Alex. But I think we need to slow down a little.”
