EXCERPT FROM "The End of the Tail:"
“No-o-o-o!” shrieked Fenella.
She hurled the halter on the floor and burst into tears. Calmly regarding her over his stable door stood her horse, Mystic Magik, sans tail.
All that remained of the palomino’s rear tresses was a stubby bob. He looked like the caricature of a hunter from an 18th Century print.
Fenella couldn’t ride him in today’s dressage competition looking like that!
