5 ANGELS: "Dawn is a vampire married by proxy to Prince Aaron for political reasons. The two have never even met. Aaron is an elf cursed to turn everything he touches to gold after offending a dragon sorcerer in his younger years. When Dawn's brother and his friend are captured attempting to assassinate the elf king, she turns to her new husband to save them. Dawn, Aaron and two elf companions head out on a quest to find the missing king, prove her brother innocent of the assassination and avert a war between their people. Along the way, they fall in love and realize they can never consummate their marriage due to Aaron's curse. Another possible title for this book would be "Midas With A Twist". I thoroughly enjoyed readingEclipse. The interactions between Dawn, Aaron and the many other characters were entertaining. I especially appreciated the way Mandy Rosko handled a vampire's sensitivity to the sun by having Dawn wear her motorcycle leathers and helmet during the day. How many new brides have their mothers suggest they kill their husbands on their wedding night? Also, Aaron's curse was handled quite well, as even his clothes and gloves turned to gold as soon as they touched his skin forcing him to wear several layers, although he could eat without the food turning to gold in his mouth. The information about each "being" and their history was detailed and interesting, and kept me wanting more. Dawn and Aaron were both exciting characters. I enjoyed their differences, and their willingness to work together to move past them. Many scenes had me on the edge of my seat and kept me turning the pages till the end. Her eyes went down the expanse of his muscled chest to the slight dip in his stomach, and then to the rough golden hairs that masked a flaccid prick. “He said he couldn’t cure you.”
