She found a table with the perfect line of sight to her husband and sat down, being sure to angle her legs toward him. The white plastic tabletop would shield her from the eyes of anyone not sitting near him.
There were a few people around at the moment, mostly couples and small groups of office workers. None of the diners was looking in their direction, but a wandering glance at the wrong moment would provide a much more entertaining dining experience than anyone had bargained for.

Her smile faltered when Tony walked up to her husband’s table and stuck out his hand. They shook and Tony joined him. It didn’t look like either man had spotted her, but that wouldn’t last long. Especially since they were both facing toward her.
Okay, she’d flashed Tony already, but that was deniable. If she carried through now, she’d look like a slut. Should she abort the plan and try again later?

She could still give up her plan and go join them, but then the surprise was ruined. Or, she could accept there was an extra set of eyes and just keep going.
