5 STARS: "FOUND IN BLISS is exactly why Sophie Oak is one of the best writers in erotic romance. This book is emotionally intense with fantastic characters, a suspenseful plot, and some smokin' hot sex with two unabashedly sexy men and one very lucky woman. This is the story of Holly, Caleb, and Alexei. Holly is the waitress at Stella's restaurant who came to Bliss after being ruthlessly tossed out by her politician husband when she didn't suit his needs any more. She's made a life for herself in the small town, but she's kept her heart guarded until now. She's caught between two lovers who are very different, but no less appealing to her. But she doesn't want to choose. She wants to have both men for keeps, but she doesn't think that she's worthy. Dr. Caleb Burke is the town doctor who has been a bit of a mystery up to now. I must say that I didn't know how this was going to work when I heard who it was going to involve, but I should have known that Sophie was going to do amazing things with these characters because she always does. I thought that Alexi was my biggest surprise in the book. He was so much more delicious than I was expecting. Caleb, yeah, I knew he had it in him, but Alexi seemed a bit dopey to me when his character was introduced. But underneath his horrible grasp of the English language, there was a sexy dominant in the bedroom and a wonderfully protective and loving partner outside of it. He was unsure of his place with Holly and Caleb, but it was obvious to anyone reading that he and his big heart were the glue that held them together. Of course we couldn't have a Sophie Oak novel without having unbelievably hot sex. Having Alexi involved certainly turned up the heat with his erotic spankings and light bondage, but Caleb was no slouch either. And I'm sure that Holly will never look at the GYN table--or the stirrups--the same way ever again (and that's all I'm saying on that one *wink*). We also visited the town of Bliss and revisited some of the funniest characters you'll ever read about, met some new ones--like Holly's teenage son, Nick--and had to find out who the heck was trying to kill Holly. All par for the course in Bliss. So, obviously I loved this. FOUND IN BLISS was just perfection. I love her characters and their fabulous stories! I love whatever it is that Sophie does to make Bliss come alive!! Ok, catching my breath and calming down…My heart was involved on page one. The joy of all Alexei overcame to come out of a dark, violent life. The heartbreaking choice Holly had to make to protect her son. The absolutely devastating circumstances Caleb endured. I smiled, laughed and cried; all in the first chapter. Alexei came back to Bliss, not only for Holly, but for the man, the friend, he saw inside Caleb. Alexei could see past the wall Caleb erected. He knew that he could help Holly heal Caleb. Both men needed Holly as she needed both of them. They all had to overcome their pasts and move forward with their lives. Two men destined to become best friends and share their girl. A trip to Bliss would not be complete without someone being in danger. The questions of who was the target and who was behind it, kept a fabulous story even more interesting. I didn’t know until it was revealed in the story with a surprising twist. One of my favorite things about Sophie’s series is how the characters are intertwined throughout, main and secondary. It’s great to see them again and find out how they are doing. I giggled when Mel talked about aliens. My heart goes out to Logan, may he find peace (hopefully, we’ll get to read all about it one day). And who wouldn’t want Nell as a best friend? She’s the nicest spitfire that I know. I won’t forget all the other hot men and women of Bliss, they were there. The town protects its own. Between Caleb’s clinical approach to everything and Alexei’s endearing broken English, it’s a wonder why Holly could never have picked just one of them. Holly is a genuinely good person, who believes in everyone’s right to a second chance. Her big men fall all over themselves for her, as they should. My new favorite word is dushka.
