The doctor was about six feet tall, or so Ethan guessed from his own height of just an inch shy of that. Bryce was broad shouldered, slender, with black hair that had just enough silver to give him that distinguished look, and he had the voice of an angel. His voice was deep but soft, and Ethan could listen to it for hours. He looked forward to seeing Bryce when he came out to the farm, and the two of them often talked for hours about the animals and the crops.
Ethan realized now just how little he knew of Bryce’s personal life. He was in awe of Dr. Holing, and felt like a tongue tied teenager in his presence. Ethan smiled at Bryce and thanked him for doing what he did best, picked up his sleepy Princess, and carried her to his truck.
Bryce walked outside with them and opened the door for Ethan. Ethan laid the now sleeping dog on the seat beside him and when he stood up, Bryce was right behind him, his hand on the door. Ethan felt awkward being so close to Bryce that he could smell the musky scent of his cologne, though he didn’t know why. Mistaking his nervousness for concern for his dog, Dr. Holing rubbed Ethan’s back. “She’s going to be just fine. I can come out later and see her if you like.” Ethan glanced quickly at Bryce, who in the darkness looked more handsome than he did in the sunlight, and said a quick “thanks.”
He got into the truck and turned the ignition. Bryce closed the truck door and patted the side of the truck. Ethan watched as he walked back to the hospital.

Ethan was tired, so he took the paper into the living room and lay back on the sofa, and was soon asleep. He had been up most of the night with Princess, and was soon sound asleep.
He heard the deep comforting voice of Dr. Bryce Holing and felt his gorgeous body on his. “I’ve wanted you for a long time, Ethan.
