A slow smile crept across my face as I heard the front door of my apartment open and close, quietly. Travis was late, which wasn't unusual. Quickly, I slipped into the sexy black pumps I had placed next to my feet. I wanted to make sure that when Travis entered the kitchen and saw what was waiting for him, he'd be hungry for more than just food.
As much as I hate to admit it, I'm addicted to Travis. He's everything I always wanted in a man and more. You see, Travis has it going on. At twenty-nine, he's an attorney, financially stable, handsome, no kids, no wife and most important, he's straight.
While I require a man who has some business about himself, I'm not a gold digger. Money isn't a determining factor since I make a better than average income myself. I would rather have a man who cherishes me and makes a modest income than one who makes bank and treats me like dirt or thinks he can buy my love.
Dayum, where is he? I hadn't heard anything else since the door of my apartment closed, and I wondered why it was taking so long for him to come into the kitchen. My patience gone, I was about ready to go when I heard the kitchen door swing open. In anticipation, I remained with my back to the door.
My senses were heightened and I could hear the ice in the glass as Travis walked across the kitchen floor. I realized he had stopped and made himself a drink. Now, my kitchen wasn't that big, so why did it seem like it took an eternity for him to reach where I was? Finally, he was there behind me. I knew just how close because I could smell his cologne. Insurrection; it was all he ever wore.
Kissing the side of my neck, Travis asked, "Did you miss me?"
I tried to turn to him but he stopped me, so I continued placing fruit on the tray and just nodded, yes.
"I like this look. Did you wear this just for me?" He drained the last of his drink then placed the glass on the counter. The next thing I felt was my dress being raised before his fingertips caressed my bare behind. The sad thing is it didn't take much to get me turned on where Travis was concerned.
