Q: Please tell us a little bit about yourself.
A: I live in Ontario, Canada and I have a passion for writing. I write full-time and I have more than twenty-five erotic romances published. I love animals. I’ve been called the “cat whisperer” on occasion because stray cats seem to sense I am a sucker for a furry face. I really like going to the movies, walking in the rain and I love thunderstorms.
Q: What are your most favorite things?
A: Mint chip ice-cream, the color yellow, vegetable lasagna, and Swiss chocolates loaded with hazelnuts. I love kayaking, bachelor button flowers, the wildness of swamps, the sound of crickets singing, watching butterflies and following deer and bear tracks.
Q: What is your typical writing day?
A: I do have a routine I try to stick to. Usually I am up early and I take a brisk walk to get my day going. Then I get a good breakfast, check emails and by nine in the morning I am writing. I try for 2,000 polished words a day. Sometimes I can do more, sometimes less, depending on what other errands need to be done.
Q: Do you have a favorite quote? Motto?

My motto- You’ll only fail, if you give up.
Q: What is the most rewarding thing as a writer?
A: Some writers will understand what I mean when I refer to the “writer’s high.” Sometimes, I go so deep into this “zone” while writing a story, I feel like I am right there in my scene with my characters. It will feel as if I have been writing for only a few minutes, but when I look up and check the clock, hours will literally have gone by. It’s an awesome rush. Addictive, actually.

Q: What advice do you have for writers wanting to get published?
A: I think it depends on each individual.
What worked for me was joining writers’ organizations such as Romance Writers of America (RWA), Passionate Ink (RWA erotic romance chapter) and The Authors Guild.
I took online workshops as well as night school creative writing workshops. I attended writer conferences and I always told myself that if other writers can get published, then so can I.
I do a lot of reading, especially the genres I want to write. I study how other authors write too. The best advice I can give is to be serious about your writing and to write something everyday. It doesn’t matter how much or how little, but plunk your butt down in the chair and write something, either longhand or into the computer. Discipline is the ticket to success.
Q: Five words that describe your books?
A: Hot, sexy, erotic, romance, adult.
Q: What do you hope your readers will take away from reading your stories?
A: Someone once told me that I should be proud of my stories because they are educational tools on how to pleasure people. So I would say pleasure and enjoyment are what I want my readers to take away with them. I hope I have done my job well. *grin*
