Author's Bio
I am a multi published author writing in mainly the Paranormal Romance genre. HER HEART, HIS SOUL is my fourth published book. Born and raised in Florida, I now live in Northern Arizona and I'm a member of the RWA group Desert Rose. Since I'm the Caregiver for my dad, I am able to be a stay-at-home-writer. Although I do tend to prefer the Paranormal Romance genre, I love them all and I'm a voracious reader. I have over 3,000 books in my personal library -- and it keeps growing! And since I also have such an over-active imagination, I plan to be writing books for a very LONG time!

Author's Profile
Q: Why are your Paranormal Romances different from the norm?
A: The Paranormal Romance is a very popular genre right now. But as so many books come out, a lot of them are starting to sound alike. Readers want different, and I'm a reader as well. So, with each book I try to make the plot something different that I'm hoping isn't out there yet. With HER HEART, HIS SOUL I made the hero a rare being: He is an Angel Warrior who comes to earth on a mission and is attacked by a powerful demon sorcerer who manages to mix the Angel DNA with Demon DNA. Now, the poor hero fights a battle daily to keep the Demon DNA side of his nature from taking over what's left of his Angel DNA soul.
Q: Do you write series?
A: That seems to be the preferred norm with Paranormals today, but I haven't yet. Each of my books have secondary characters that readers have fallen in love with and want their story too, but my writer's imagination keeps me flying on to a new story as soon as I finish the last.
Q: What is your favorite Shifter to write?
A: I love the Cat Shifters! There's just something about a hero being able to turn into one of those sleek, dangerous, animals. I once owned a Lynx, and he was such a noble cat. Very dangerous (he was born wild), yet very in control. He had amazing human characteristics, and that gave me many of my ideas for future writing. Of course, you can't ignore the primal Wolf Shifters either -- they're just as sexy and Alpha as the Cats! Okay, I admit, I love them all!
Q: What is your typical day like?
A: Up at 5:30 a.m. to take dad to dialysis by 6:30. Come home, make a huge pot of coffee. Turn on computer. Write. OR....answer emails. Fight with spoiled Poodle who thinks she needs more attention than my computer. Go back and pick up dad at 10:30. Lunch. Fight with spoiled Poodle who thinks she needs to eat SIX times a day and lunchtime should be her big meal. Go back to computer, writing or Internet stuff. Fight with spoiled Poodle again about the computer time. Run errands to get away from the house while dad and Poodle decide they need to verbally argue with each other about eating AGAIN. Return to computer (with earplugs so I can ignore BOTH dad and Poodle). And just hope by the end of the day that I've managed to get some decent writing done...!
Q: Any last things to mention?
A: I love hearing from readers, and invite everyone to visit my site and send me an email. And, too, I'm working on getting a small newsletter started, so if readers want to be on the mailing list please do send me a note. It won't be anything big or flashy, just a newsletter every now and then about my stuff, and maybe a few opportunities, etc., for others. I do Book Reviews on my site under "Kari's Korner" page, and that is another good way for readers to check out new upcoming books.
