JERR Gives Librarian By Day 4 Stars! "Librarian by Day was an enjoyable story exploring Jennifer and Nik's initial forays into kinkier lovemaking. Going over to the kitchen table, he sat down in front of her laptop and clicked on the icon. His mouth twitched. That had to be one of those mushy, on-line romance novels his girlfriend liked so much. They always had sappy titles like that. Curious, he clicked on the document to maximize it. Who knew? Maybe there’d be some dirty parts to read. He was sure Jennifer wouldn’t mind if he looked at it.
Nik didn’t know much about romance novels, but this one seemed just as sappy as he’d thought they’d be. Girl meets guy, girl hates guy, blah, blah, blah. He scrolled down the page hoping to get to a good part when he struck gold halfway through the second chapter. Now we’re talking. He continued to read.

He shook his head. No way could his shy, reserved girlfriend ever write anything so provocative. Maneuvering the cursor up to the word, “File,” he clicked first on it, then on the word, “Properties.” His eyes went wide at the name of the author of the document—Jennifer Davidson. That proved him right! It looked like his prim, proper librarian wasn’t so shy after all.
“I’ll be damned,” he muttered, a grin spreading across his face. His sweetie really was a bad girl!
Another thought abruptly occurred to him then. If Jennifer had written this book, had she written others as well? As much as he wanted to snoop in her documents folder for other books, he resisted the urge. That would just be wrong. After a moment, his gaze went to the name in the upper left-hand corner of the screen. Kylie Blake. If she wrote under a name other than her own, that probably meant she was published, right? And just because he couldn’t search Jennifer’s computer, it didn’t mean he couldn’t Google her pen name. That wasn’t the same thing as snooping, right?
Minimizing the Word document, he pulled up the Internet, then opened the Google website and typed in the name Kylie Blake. Several websites came up, including one belonging to an “author of erotic romance.” Feeling a surge of excitement, he clicked on the link.
Any doubts he still might have had about his girlfriend writing those kinds of books disappeared when he saw the picture on the homepage. Though it wasn’t Jennifer, it certainly could have been. The prim, proper librarian sitting on the stool had her blond hair back in a bun and glasses perched on her nose, and the short skirt she was wearing had ridden halfway up her shapely thighs to reveal the tops of her silky stockings. “I didn’t even notice,” he said, letting his gaze travel over her tall, slender figure. She was wearing a simple sleeveless top and a floral-print skirt that stopped just above the knee, and though the outfit would probably be considered conservative by most, he thought it looked extremely sexy on her. Maybe because he knew that underneath, there was really a bad girl just waiting to get out. “Besides,” he added, “it was definitely worth the wait. You look gorgeous.”
She blushed at the compliment, murmuring a soft, “Thank you,” and shyly ducking her head as she reached up with one hand to tuck her long, blond hair behind her ear.
As they drove to the restaurant a few minutes later, Nik tried to concentrate on what Jennifer was saying, but all he could seem to think about was the story he’d read on her computer. The fact that his sweet, demure girlfriend had written all of those sexy spanking scenes had him hard as hell.
