Author's Bio
When her fingers aren't attached to her keyboard, Mellanie Szereto enjoys hiking, Pilates, cooking, gardening, and researching for her stories. Many times, the research partners with her other hobbies, taking her from the Hocking Hills region in Ohio to the Colorado Rockies and the Adirondacks of New York. Sometimes, the trip is no farther than her garden for ingredients and her kitchen to test recipes for her latest steamy tale. Mellanie makes her home in rural Indiana with her husband of twenty-five years and their two children, one dog, and three cats. She is a member of Romance Writers of America and Indiana Romance Writers of America.

Q: What is your favorite kind of heroine?
A: Smart and a little sassy. You know that clever retort you think of after the confrontation is over? It slides off her tongue with ease as she discovers a cure for the common cold. She isn't perfect, but she's intelligent enough to know that no one is.
Q: Where do you get story ideas?
A: Everything has potential to become the next story. A great line will pop into my head while I'm walking the dog, a plot while I'm grocery shopping, a character while I'm hiking in the woods. My writing brain is always on.
Q: When do you write?
A: All the time. Seriously, I try to write every day. Did I mention my writing brain is always on?
Q: How did you meet the other members of The Sextet?
A: We all belong to our local chapter of Romance Writers of America. I couldn't help but become great friends with this awesome group of writers.
