Excerpt

Several minutes passed by with no words exchanged. Finally, Toe glanced up from tracing the lines of the quilt, frustration evident on her face. “Look, you don’t have to stay. Just because you heard me make a fool of myself doesn’t mean you’re responsible. I’m an adult elf. I can handle rejection.”

Before the last words left her mouth, Niken flew across the room and pulled Toe onto his lap. “Not want you?” He breathed heavily in her ear. “I can barely function with you sitting so near. You smell delicious. I want nothing more than to drag my tongue over every inch of your body until you melt in my mouth.”

He could see his words shocked her. For once, no clever comeback flew from her mouth.

“Yeah, Toe, I want all that and more; by the time I’m done with you, I’ll be the only thing you think, smell, and feel.”

“Oh, jingle bells,” she whispered, while staring at his lips.

“Oh, Neptune’s balls,” he said, and dropped her back onto the bed while backing away. “You need to keep a safe distance from me.”
