Dear sweet Atlanta was dressed in a gaudy red dress that barely reached her knees. It was low cut, very low and she wore red feathers in her hair. She noticed the black stockings and red garters, even red shoes. Montana could feel the tears burn her eyes for what had become of her lovely sister. She lifted her veil and gave her a watery, sad smile. “Hello Atlanta, I’m so pleased to find you at last.” She forced herself to whisper through the tears and shock that clogged her throat.
Atlanta gasped and cried out softly when she saw her little sister. She swallowed back her own tears of shame and pain. When her sister had lifted her veil, she saw the tears on Montana’s face and felt the disgrace and humiliation swamp her. Quickly she looked around the room and grabbed hold of her sister’s hand.
“You shouldn’t be here and there’s no time to explain.” She spat out furiously, before she turned to the man her little sister was holding on to. “Slater you have to get her out of here, now before either Rose or Hank see her. Now Slater, please.” She begged him, she could not let her little sister fall into Hank or Rose’s hands and end up like herself.
