I loved how Pax never quite understood what anyone was telling him, but managed to get along anyways. It was enjoyable how the paranormal and sci-fi parts of the book blended to create a story that I couldn't put down until it ended. Colt's love and patience of Pax was beautiful to experience. The crews' reaction to the alien slugs being on board was funny, but Gig and Pax's solution was hysterical. It was hilarious when Gigi said he couldn't wait until the unmated crew got their own mates so they could out maneuver them better. 4 CUPS: "Loneliness is an awful feeling, and even on a ship with several other crew members Paxton Chambers still feels as if he is on his own. He has watched and waited, but the beautiful little blue man still shies away every time Colt Walking Cloud tries to get close to him. 4 NYMPHS: "Pax's Blues is the second release in Lady Blue Crew, the futuristic shape-shifter series by Lynn Hagen and Stormy Glenn. It's another entertaining, lighthearted and fun read. The author development of the character personalities is nicely done. Pax is a quiet and reserved guy but he's cute too, and watching his frustration as he tries to understand some of what is going on around him is a hoot. He just doesn't get the odd pieces of conversation…the slang…and it makes him feel like an idiot. Colt is big, dominant and possessive, likes everything about Pax and wants to claim his little blue-skinned mate but allows Pax the time he needs to get comfortable with him first. But once claimed…their sex life is hot…and frequent. Then there's the weird and wacky situations the crew manages to get into. This time, it's problems with slugs with a lethal mucous like slime. Pax swooped down and ravaged Colt’s mouth. He could hear frantic little whimpers escaping his little bird’s mouth. Colt rolled, placing Pax underneath him as his hand ran over Pax’s chest. Colt glanced up, begging with his eyes for Pax’s permission. When Pax spread his legs, Colt lost his mind.

He flicked his wrist, yanking to separate the zipper, and then pulled Pax’s pants from his body. Colt sat back on his heels as he skimmed his hands over Pax’s thighs, his fingertips barely touching skin as he stared at what a newborn star must look like.

Pax bit his bottom lip, glancing away from Colt’s intense gaze. Colt reached over and pulled his mate’s head back, making him look him in the eyes. That would never do.

“I’m going to claim you, Paxton. If this isn’t what you want, tell me now.”

Pax’s eyelashes slowly lowered, making the blackness of them contradict and blend with his pale blue skin beautifully. His mate gave a slight nod.

Colt stood, staring down at Pax as he stripped free from his clothes.
