The discovery of her mother’s typewriter in the bowels of the basement at age five inspired Julia’s first story, a moving multi-chaptered, twelve-sentence masterpiece about a blood-thirsty blob. Since then, she’s gone on to write many vastly better spelled stories about much happier topics.

When not writing happy endings, Julia can be found in a classroom either teaching Latin or taking classes towards a masters degree in her second career field of speech pathology in hopes of putting previous degrees in classical languages, linguistics, and music into some sort of harmony. On the rare occasions she is found outside the classroom or performance hall, she enjoys the company of her husband and their animal children, listening to many different types of music, and cooking delicious dinners.
