“There are ten buttons on my garment. Is it necessary to undo all the fastenings?” she said tersely.
Noor said, low and curt, “No, but I intend to. Patience is a virtue, sweetie.”
“I’m not patient but virtuous.” She slapped his hand away.
He grabbed her wrist and held it firmly in his hand. “You won’t always get your way with me. You may as well learn that now,” he said with overstated mildness.
“I have heard sometimes women take charge of these matters.”
Noor smirked with arrogance. “Not this time,” he said softly. “However, just so you know, I’m not averse to women being on top. Three more buttons to go.”
Allura flung back in the bed and covered her eyes with her hands. “I will probably die by the time you finish unclothing me.”
With the patience of a saint, and much to Allura’s distress, he searched for a side zipper he knew existed, hidden somewhere in the folds of her skirt.
“I shouldn’t be surprised at your need to make demands.”
