Callum hasn’t time to take on a new sub for training. He has his BDSM club, Pure, to remodel and open on Friday. He certainly doesn’t have the time to train Lee in all the nuances of submission, even if Lee seems to be a natural.

But someone else wants him. Another Master who has no limits and doesn’t believe in safe words.

If Callum doesn’t wake up and accept the gift of Lee’s submission, someone else will take it – forcefully.

“He’s not my boyfriend or anything, you know.”

Callum pressed the remote to lift the door to the underground garage. He glanced over at Lee, whose anxious eyes were fixed on him.

“Yeah. It was just a date. He hooked up with a friend of mine last week at Spanks.” Lee’s small voice grew quieter. “He said he had a room to rent. He was going to show me”—Lee’s voice was so low now if Callum hadn’t already killed the engine, he wouldn’t have heard it—“after we played.”

Callum turned his head quickly to catch the embarrassed flush. The implication was plain. No scene, no room. Callum had to force the anger out of his voice. “You want to leave home?”

Lee’s gaze was firmly on his hands. Callum followed it down to twisting fingers. “I already left.”

Callum’s words died in his throat. Hell, they could discuss living arrangements—or lack of them—when he was inside, fed, and taken care of. Lee still looked like a stiff breeze would take him out. “Stay there.”

Callum quickly walked around to Lee’s door, having already pressed the call button for the elevator as he passed. He wasn’t sure how good Lee’s legs were still, and he would need both hands if he had to carry him again. Callum nearly closed his eyes. Why did he like that idea so much? Lee looked open-mouthed at him as he opened the car door, and Callum smiled gently. He couldn’t help brushing a stray lock away from that pale face, and Lee angled his head slightly into his touch.

“Come on, let’s get you inside.” Callum tossed Lee’s jeans and t-shirt over his shoulder. Lee leant heavily on Callum, but managed to walk okay. The blanket fell off as he got out of the car. Trying not to gaze at the rest of him, Callum grabbed the blanket, but Lee hissed as it scraped his shoulders.

“Sorry, I just don’t want you to be cold.” Callum gave up on the blanket. At least the elevator to his top-floor suite was private and it wasn’t as if Callum wasn’t used to seeing plenty of naked boys. Callum owned the apartment building and had put in the private elevator when he renovated the disused factory. It was now high-scale apartments, all full. Usually when he came home, he’d stop off in the lobby to say hi to one of the night porters. This time he just hit the button for the penthouse. Callum frowned; Lee had started shaking again.

Callum tried to take more of the kid’s weight. Not that it was a hardship. Now that Lee was standing, he noticed his skinny body. When did he last eat?

By the time they got to his apartment door, Callum managed to punch his code in the key pad. Lee was still trying not to lean heavily on him. Callum kicked the door open at the same time as he swung Lee up. He marched past the kitchen and lounge, and headed through an open door into his bedroom. “Sorry.” The husky voice was back, but Lee’s eyes were screwed shut. Callum could feel Lee shaking slightly as he laid him on the bed. My bedroom. He’d meant to take him to the guest room, but had just headed in here without thinking.

“Let me check your back.” Gently he rolled Lee over on his side and headed into his bathroom. Grabbing his first-aid box, he unscrewed the cap on the pain-relieving antibiotic cream and smoothed some more on the cuts. He pulled a clean t-shirt out of his dresser and helped Lee tug it on. It was huge on him, but it would keep the antibiotic cream from rubbing off. It would also cover Lee to mid-thigh. Better for Callum’s peace of mind.

“Do you want something to eat?” Callum wanted to see him eating, but it was hard to discern whether or not the small shake of his head was from his trembling body. “You need some sleep then.” Callum stroked Lee’s face again. Stop it.

He started to stand up, but Lee grabbed his arm. “Please. Please, don’t leave.” Thready voice. Anxious.

Callum sighed. “Let me get changed.”
