5 TEA CUPS: "Sweet Vengeance is the third book in a series, and even though I haven't read the first two I had no trouble with reading and thoroughly enjoying this book. Nicole brings her characters into light when Chelsea moved into the neighborhood to start over. The last thing she wanted was a relationship. It would be best not to go in deep in another bad one. Adam had fought the terror of watching the woman who carried his child die when it should have been him. Adam never wanted another relationship he didn't think he deserved it because of the blame he carried with him over Ally's death. When the crazy neighbor comes to his door demanding he slow down, he felt an overwhelming desire of needing her in his bed, something he didn't want to feel but his body wasn't going to be denied. The sexual tension started hard and fast. The two came together for very different reasons, Chelsea thought it was just sex and felt that she was falling in the trap like past relationships and for Adam it was just sex, his body needed a release and Chelsea was there. Adam couldn't or wouldn't face the truth but his body needed Chelsea for a release, but his soul was hers before he realized it. This book has some interesting turns and I love reading every word. Reading each word was a like living in the pages and I couldn't wait to finish it to see how it turned out and was not disappointed. Until the end you are on edge and it was great. Nicole wrote the series so you can read them together or alone. Now I need to go back and read the others just to get to know the other Navy Seals. Love the seals! 4 NYMPHS: "Sweet Vengeance is a very heart wrenching story of how much a person can take upon themselves from the death of those closest to them. I am truly fascinated with the behavior of the two main characters - both had a lot of baggage - and they begin to bond by trusting each other. This is the third book in the Sweet Awakenings series. Chelsea turned out to be a little too sweet, but a very caring person who would help anyone in need. She’s making an effort to get past her abusive boyfriend and Adam certainly triggered some of those frightening moments for her. He wants to learn why she gets nervous around him when he expresses any anger. One thing about Adam that never ceases to amaze me is that he didn’t know when to stop with the anger and to accept the truth from his friends until Chelsea is in danger. The in-depth creativity of Ms. Morgan shows here with her characters and the attitudes of a few of them had me laughing at their behavior. She kept me in suspense of the villain and I was totally shocked at learning the truth of one of the secondary characters. Adam watched her, and studied her face as it became flushed while her lower lip trembled. He wanted to laugh. The little minx who stood before him, yelling at him, was scared. She was trying to give the appearance of being tough and in control, but she was actually afraid of him.

“Why are you smiling? Do you think it’s funny to almost hit someone with your…your…ridiculously fast car?”

Chelsea quickly spun around to face him. “What?” she snapped.

Adam walked out the door and leaned over his porch railing down at her. “I was just wondering what you came over here for in the first place. Was it just to borrow a cup of sugar?”

She then headed toward her car. Once behind the wheel, she reached over to close the door when her hand met with denim.
