Gage rode up beside Greyson and glanced down at the lass sleeping peacefully in his
brother’s arms. “I can understand why our cousin wanted to marry her besides having the
McCoy’s as allies.”
Unable to stop the feeling of possessiveness that swept over him, Greyson grunted in
agreement. Greyson peeked down at the lass and once more was captured by her beauty.
“Ye know ye will have to have proof the marriage has been consummated, and ye
and the lass must share a bedchamber.” Gage could see how taken his brother was with
the lass, and wondered how he was going to react. He didn’t have long to find out,
Greyson’s face was a picture of horror and shock.
Eyes growing wide, Greyson swung his head to stare back at his brother in stunned
disbelief. He never gave a thought beyond the wedding ceremony. Now though, he could
see Gage was right, if no one believed it to be a true marriage all this would have been for
nothing. “Damn, why dinna I not think of such things before. I canna just bed her?” He
rasped out, even though his body raged with fire just at the thought of bedding her.
“I’m sure by the time we reach home you will have thought of something that would
have everyone believing the marriage was consummated.” Gage shrugged his shoulders
and hid his grin. “’Tis my thinking though the hardest part will be sharing a bed with the
lass nightly.”
The erotic tempting thoughts teased his mind, Greyson thought it wasn’t going to be
hard, it was going to be impossible. It would be pure and utter torture. “’Tis unseemingly
for a priest to speak of such things,” he snapped out to cover his own lustful
thoughts.
Gage chuckled and shook his head. “I may be a priest but I’m by no means dead.”
