‘What are you thinking about?’ Garrett asked, smiling down at her softly as he refilled her glass. ‘Being here again. It’s so strange but it feels like I never left.’ ‘It doesn’t feel that way for us Christie. Christie could feel them waiting for her answer. When they put it the way they had, their suggestion didn’t seem unreasonable but she simply couldn’t shake the idea that it was wrong. She told them so. ‘Just let it go,’ Connor soothed, leaning closer as the hand that had been smoothing her hair began to trail down over her cheek.
