Ms. Espino writes a very likable heroine in this tale of two wolves. I admire the fact that although Ingrid might see her life as headed nowhere, she doesn't let that stop her from seeking out and enjoying some of the best parts of life. Ingrid is very aware of her own sexuality and doesn't let a cheating boyfriend deter her from having a little fun whether solo or with others. She's independent, spontaneous, and sexually confident. Callen and Ethan have definitely met their match. The door thudded closed, and then the strike of a match highlighted Callen’s face as he lit a large white candle, gnarly from age and use. He reached out to set it on the dresser behind her, successfully pressing his body against hers in the process. Time seemed to stand still, and every minute sound became magnified. The rapid beat of her heart and sound of her labored breaths. Should she reach out and touch the man that proved a temptation since she saw him? She didn’t think he’d turn her down.
