Excerpt“Touchdown!” Will Thornton’s voice carried from the living room to the kitchen where his wife Tyler sat sipping coffee with her best friend Kay Reagan. “ It’s too bad he can’t score a touchdown in the bedroom,” Tyler mumbled. Kay giggled. “You’re terrible, Tee. How can you say that with those rippling muscles and tight ass? I’ve envied you for years. He’s every woman’s fantasy.” “ I don’t believe you,” Tee replied with a touch of laughter in her voice. “You’ve been fantasizing about Will?” “ I would never have said anything if we weren’t so close and I knew you wouldn’t be jealous. But you are lucky. Take it as a compliment.” “ I do, but trust me, your fantasies are probably better than reality.” She lifted an eyebrow. “Maybe you’re in a rut.” Tyler let her breath out in a rush. “Maybe.” She put her elbows on the table and placed her face in the palms of her hands as she peered intently at Kay. “So…what about Ed?” “ He likes to take it nice and slow. He’s very gentle. I wish he’d surprise me sometime and be aggressive.” She rolled her eyes. “ Oh, time to pull out the whips! I can see it now.” Tyler giggled. Kay screwed up her face. “Well, I can dream, can’t I?” “ Yes, it’s just that it’s so out of character for you.” Tyler laughed. “I’d lose my mind if I didn’t have my fantasies.” “ I don’t tell you everything you know. I have my fantasies. Maybe I’m getting bored with my humdrum sex life,” Kay replied as she flipped through a magazine. “I should redo the bedroom. Add some spice to it.” She sighed wistfully. “That might be the ticket.” “ Now that could be fun!” Tyler pulled herself to her feet. “I’m going to put on a fresh pot of coffee.” “ What could be fun?” Ed asked as he walked to the refrigerator and pulled out a couple of cans of beer. Kay lifted her head and grinned at him. “I’m thinking of redoing the bedroom, honey.” Tyler studied her friend’s husband as he chatted with his wife. Ed Reagan was tall and lanky with short dark hair, a long angular nose, and a thin face. He wasn’t a handsome man, but he wasn’t homely either. He had a bookish look to him and a mild, calm temper. He definitely looked like he’d be a gentle lover afraid of hurting his partner. She wondered what he’d be like if he had the ability to do whatever he wanted to a willing partner. Would he become a wild man or remain passive? Maybe he just needed someone to show him what he was missing, to bring out the animal in him. She pictured Ed with a whip in his hand as Kay, on all fours, her bare ass quivering in the air, begged him to punish her. She suppressed a giggle as she stole a glance at the couple. She couldn’t picture either of them in those roles, but sometimes the person you least expected was the one who was a tiger behind closed doors. She grew hot as she continued to look at Ed wondering what kind of cock he had, but mostly wondering what it would feel like having it pound into her now dripping pussy. She bit her lip as an intense ache encompassed her vagina. Damn, she wished she could excuse herself and lock herself in her bathroom, then plunge her fingers into her throbbing vagina. She swallowed hard and cleared her throat willing her urges to go away. She walked stiffly back to the table and seated herself. Will and Ed were as different as day and night, except for their love of sports. Tyler and Kay had been childhood friends and were thrilled when their husbands became quick friends. Every weekend the two couples were inseparable. Will patiently taught Ed the finer points of woodworking and Ed enlightened Will with his literary expertise. Tyler was deeply in love with her husband, but lately they’d lost the spark. Their lovemaking had become routine and mechanical. She wondered if Will felt the same way. Neither of them talked about it. Every other aspect of their existence together was perfect. They’d become so busy with their lives that they didn’t take the time for romance any more. She decided that they needed to bring the spice back to their sex life. She looked at Kay and wondered how she’d react to some of the sex games she and Will used to play. When she and Will first got together, she’d told her some of the things they did, but never went into detail about their more extreme play. Maybe she should let Kay in on a few of her secrets and gauge her reaction. She pushed herself away from the table, stood and walked to the counter and poured two fresh cups of coffee. Ed gave Kay a quick peck on the cheek and exited the kitchen just as Tyler brought the two steaming cups of coffee to the table. Tyler stirred some sugar and cream into her coffee as she settled back in her chair. “I was just thinking, Kay, that maybe you should take the lead with Ed…you know, get a little rough. Let him know that you won’t break.” She peered into Kay’s eyes. “Go slowly and assess his reaction.” Kay’s face flushed. “He’d probably pass out if I tried some of the things I fantasize about.” “ You never know,” Tyler replied before taking a sip of her coffee. She wondered just what Kay’s fantasies were. Kay had always been more timid and modest than Tyler and embarrassed easily, so it might take some doing to get her to open up and share with Tyler just what those fantasies involved. Tyler was determined to try. After all, Kay had surprised her and opened up about her fantasies about Will. Kay frowned. “Then why are you in a rut? Maybe you need to take a little of your own advice.” She lifted an eyebrow. “Practice what you preach?” “ That’s what I’m trying to do right now.” She cleared her throat. “Have you ever wondered what it would really be like to be with another man?” She grinned. “Not just your fantasies about Will, though I would love to hear about them in detail,” she added with a sly grin. Kay flushed. “I shouldn’t have said anything. Now you’ll keep badgering me.” Tyler reached across the table and patted her friend’s hand. “I’m flattered that my husband has the ability to bring out the tigress in you. Even if he doesn’t know it.” “ Now, I never said that.” Tyler laughed at the bright red complexion her friend now wore. “Getting back to my question—have you wondered what it would be like with another man?” “ Oh, I’ve definitely dreamed about being with Brad Pitt or Johnny Depp.” Tyler shook her head. “No, I don’t mean an actor. I mean someone you work with or have seen on the street. Someone you definitely could have a chance with.” Kay smiled. “My fantasies definitely don’t take me that far.” Tyler’s eyes narrowed. “Mine do and I’d like to make them a reality,” she stated bluntly. “ You’re joking, aren’t you?” Kay’s jaw dropped. “You’d sleep with another man?” She studied the shocked look on her friend’s face and flashed her a bright smile. “No. I’m not kidding, I’m serious.” Kay picked up her coffee cup and held it between her palms. “Come on, you’re teasing, right?” “ No, I’m deadly serious.” She sighed deeply. “Sometimes it’s good for a marriage.” Kay’s eyes narrowed. “It’s cheating plain and simple. How can that be good for a marriage?” She gazed uncomfortably at Tyler. “You of all people, Tee, I would never imagine as a cheater. You and Will have such a rock-solid loving relationship.” She tossed her head. “No, it’s not cheating if your spouse is a part of it. And Will and I do have a strong committed relationship. I could never imagine being apart from Will. He’s the love of my life.” “ Then you mean wife swapping?” she choked. “Or swinging? Whatever it’s called.” She nodded. “Yes. Many couples do it and still maintain healthy loving relationships. Their marriages have even become stronger.” “ Have you and Will—” “ No. He doesn’t even know anything about it.” She watched a distasteful look cross Kay’s face. “I’ve never cheated on Will and I never would, but face it, Kay, we have a right to be sexually fulfilled too. And I’ll bet the guys wouldn’t hesitate if we asked them about it. After all, we’re all close friends and they are men.” Kay’s eyes widened. “Are you kidding me? You’re talking about us swapping husbands?” “ You said you’ve fantasized about Will.” “ But…that’s all it was. I’d certainly never entertained any thoughts about initiating something. I would never cheat on Ed and certainly not with my best friend’s husband.” She set her coffee cup down. “We’ve been friends most of our lives. I…I never—” Tyler sighed. “It’s okay. But if Ed and I already knew about you and Will beforehand, then it wouldn’t be cheating. Besides, if my husband is going to have sex with another woman then why not my best friend?” She laced her fingers together as she waited for Kay’s response. Kay wrung her hands. “It just seems so unnatural.” She paused. “That means you’d be having sex with Ed.” “ Yes. I’ll admit that I never fantasized about him, but it might be fun to bring out his inner sexual beast.” Kay picked her cup back up. “You definitely would be in for a disappointment if it’s excitement you’re looking for. If there’s a sexual beast lurking inside of him, then he’s keeping it well hidden.” Her eyes met Tyler’s. “Don’t get me wrong. I love Ed with all of my heart, he just never wants to try anything new.” “ Kay, I only brought this up to you because you are my best friend. I’d never breathe a word of this to anyone else. But the more I think about it the more I realize that the four of us are all ready so close and share just about everything, why not this, too?” She stared at Kay. “Come on. If we all agree it can’t be wrong. We’re all consenting adults.” “ I still think morally it is wrong. And we don’t know if the guys really will consent to it in the first place. You’re asking them to do something that goes against all of our vows.” “ Don’t pull the morals act with me, Kay.” Tyler smiled wryly. “Why were you fantasizing about Will if you weren’t wondering what it would be like to be with him?” “ I…I…” Kay’s face flushed. “Well, what if the guys don’t go for it?” “ Believe me, if we approve then they will. They’re men.” She rubbed her temples. “Let me see if I can get Ed to be a bit more aggressive in bed. If I can’t, then maybe I’ll think about it, but I’m not making any promises.” |
