5 TEA CUPS: "Rhea Regale brought a sequel to Wild Hearts the Blood Moon Legacy series. Let me say Wild Nights can be read alone or with the first in the series, Wild Hearts. After reading it, I admit I went and bought Wild Hearts. I couldn’t get enough of these werewolves. This story starts with action from the very beginning. Ayasha White is running from werewolves that had killed her beloved uncle and burnt down her home. She runs for the safety of Wolf Creek and into the arms of Lenox Creek, her true mate. Things never added up for Aya. Coming to Wolf Creek brought her to a place that she wasn’t quite ready for. She knew that Lenox would protect her because her uncle said so and also he was her mate. Lenox had been looking for his mate for 25 years and now here she comes to him for protection and he wanted Aya safe. She was a white wolf and there were only two that he knew of around. Aya was his and no one would ever hurt her again. The only problem with that is Riley Tormel he had been gone twenty five years also but he ran for a whole other reason, he helped slaughter Aya's family and was fed lies about how his father died. When Aya found out that Lenox was just one half of her mate she didn’t know that the other would be a man who destroyed her life. Riley didn’t want Aya as a mate, he wanted to mate her then kill her but when the time came Aya’s love and Lenox's honesty made him realize that fate had other plans. Riley and Lenox showed Aya how their love could withstand all the horrible things in her life. The sexual tension has you torn to who you want the alpha mate to be and in the end the white always wins. Their personal struggles that have to be overcome so that they can be a triad unit are compelling. The inherent evil of the devious Eliza is literally palpable. Ms. Regale has a very vivid writing style that makes the action appear to jump right off the page and carry the reader along for the adventure. Eliza mentions having another sister that gives this reviewer hope that there will be at least one more installment to this series. While I would have liked to have had Shyla, Jacy and Cole brought into this story, even if it was for a cameo only, it didn’t detract from the book at all. My understanding of the story is that Aya and Shyla would be cousins so I was looking for a reunion of sorts, but that could happen in a third story. The wolves out to decimate the white wolves seem to get more inventive and determined as the series progresses. Eliza was certainly more manipulative and sadistic than Laela.
