Q: When did you decide to become a writer?
A: I always enjoyed writing as a teenager, but decided to try my hand at M/M erotic romance in 2010.
Q: Why write male/male romance?
A: That’s simple, I’m a major Japanese yaoi fan aka Japanese gay manga/anime. So why not!
Q: Do you write full time or part time?
A: It really depends. I have a part time job outside of the house, but if I’m in “story mode,” I can focus on writing 30+ hours a week.
Q: Where do you get your inspiration from?
A: Everywhere. Music has always been a big inspiration for me. I also find inspiration in everyday life, like a simple grocery shopping trip can have me walking out of the store with an idea.
Q: How long does it take you to write a book?
A: Usually it takes three months from start to finish to write a book. I have had to put away some ideas and come back to them later if I need to rework the plot or whatever. This could take as long as a year.
Q: Do you write series books or single-titles only?
A: I always have ideas on how to make a single-title into a series, but I’m so inundated by plot bunnies, it’s hard to focus on just one world or set of characters for that long. I am trying to write series, though.
Q: Who is your biggest support?
A: My biggest support, believe it or not, is my family. My mom is always giving out my pen name to friends who read gay fiction, and even my teenage daughter tells her friends that “my mom is an author!” with a big smile on her lips.
