“Ryder, Aidan, Cullen, what a surprise to find you here.”
He glanced up from the plan he was studying to find Jesse with his arms spread as if announcing to the world he’d arrived. But even with his rainbow shirt and streaks of various colors in his hair, Cullen hardly noticed when his gaze fell on a pair of soft brown eyes that resembled a skittish doe ready to leap to safety.
Not that he could blame the guy. After seeing Jesse in action himself, Cullen had to admit Jesse was a force not even Mother Nature could touch. Still, there was something about the way the man kept glancing down at the floor that held his attention. It was as if he were afraid of being accused of challenging someone by staring directly at anyone in the pub.
No. It was even more than that. Never in Cullen’s life had he felt so drawn to order a person to sit at his feet before, yet with this man, Cullen found himself having to bite his tongue to stop himself from doing just that. The man screamed submissive, and Cullen desperately wanted to be the one who dominated him.
“What are you talking about, Jesse?” Ryder asked dryly. “I just told you two hours ago I was meeting Cullen and Aidan here.”
As if Ryder hadn’t said a word, Jesse took the shy man’s hand and pulled him to the table so he was standing right next to Cullen. “Aidan, Ryder, Cullen,” Jesse said his name pointedly and practically shoved the other man into Cullen’s lap. “I would like you to meet Zack Adams, my new accountant.”
Zack gasped, clearly not agreeing with something Jesse had just said. “But I thought we were here to talk about hiring me?” Zack whispered.
Jesse waved Zack’s concern off. “We are, but since I’ve already decided to hire you, it’s just a matter of how much to pay you.” Then he pointed to Cullen. “Don’t you want to meet Cullen?”
Zack glanced Cullen’s way, then quickly averted his eyes. “Uhm, hi.”
When Cullen rose, he towered over Zack’s much smaller frame and smiled down at him with his hand outstretched. Zack’s hand shook as he placed it in Cullen’s for the briefest of moments before trying to snatch it back. But Cullen had been prepared for that and didn’t release it.
“It’s nice to meet you, Zack.” Cullen raised Zack’s hand up and placed a kiss on the back. “Do you live in Cedar Falls?”
Zack shook his head as his wide soft brown eyes that reminded him of the coloring of doe standing in a meadow stared at the spot on his hand that Cullen had kissed. Enthralled with Zack’s response, Cullen knew he had to see just how far he could push.
“No,” Jesse answered when Zack hadn’t said anything. “He lives in Blareston. But since he lives with his mother, I’m sure he’s ready to move away from there. I’m actually hoping to find him enough work here, to encourage him to move to Cedar Falls.”
Cullen would have loved to tell Jesse to shut the hell up, but he didn’t think it would work, plus he didn’t want to embarrass Zack any more than he was. Well, he did, just not in such a public way, with so many people listening to every word that was being said.
“I actually could use a good accountant,” Cullen told Zack. “I was just talking with Aidan about partnering with the casino and opening up an adventure park. It would require someone to help me manage the books for the partnership.” He stepped a little closer to Zack, invading his personal space, just to see what he’d do.
Just as he thought, Zack didn’t move. But those sweet brown eyes glanced up at Cullen, practically begging for permission to step away. As much as Cullen desired to keep pushing Zack’s boundaries, he also didn’t want to scare Zack so badly that he scurried back to Blareston to never be heard from again.
“Why don’t you have a seat next to me and help me read through the deal Aidan is proposing. I want to be sure it is beneficial for me, and it would help to have someone good with numbers to give me advice.”
Zack practically jumped at the chance to put a bit of distance between them and went to the only chair still left open.
But before he could sit there, Jesse clapped his hands together. “What a good idea. We’ll join you.” Then he pushed that open chair right up next to Cullen and moved two other chairs from an empty table for him and his campaign manager, Gabriel, to sit on. “Then we can also discuss if working for my campaign and working for you will be enough for Zack to earn a living or if we need to find him more clients.”
Cullen wasn’t quite sure why Zack didn’t have a job, but he’d find that out later, when he asked Zack out on a date. He may have only just met the man, but there was something about Zack that called to Cullen. It ran so deep, Cullen wasn’t about to try and resist.
No. He was going to keep Zack as his. He just had to figure out how to get Zack to agree to his plan. Then again, with Jesse clearly out to set them up, Cullen would obviously have allies on his side to help him.
They were just two little words, but the sincerity that came with them were all Zack needed to hear for the panic that had started to rise within to settle back down and disappear. Oh, he was still nervous, but it was no longer trying to take him over as it had been.
Zack nodded. “I do trust you.” It was an odd sensation, as he’d never really been able to trust anyone, not even his mother. Yet, with Cullen, it was becoming as easy as breathing.
The smile he got for saying that made Zack’s heart skip a beat. “Good, boy,” Cullen whispered as he leaned down and placed a kiss against Zack’s mouth. Nothing too passionate, just…loving.
Zack’s heart sped up. Love? Did he love Cullen? Did Cullen love him? Zack wasn’t sure on either question, but he did know that he wanted forever with this man.
When Cullen straightened, he said, “Undress.”
Zack shivered at the clear order. He couldn’t explain it, but just knowing Cullen was there, in charge, helped to settle the rest of Zack’s nerves. He didn’t have to do anything but what Cullen told him. There was little chance of him screwing things up, taking all the pressure off his shoulder.
He’d already taken off his shoes when he’d come in the house, so he didn’t have to worry about them. His hands instantly went to his waistband to unbutton and unzip them. To save time, when he pushed them down off his hips, he made sure to take his underwear off, too.
A fire blazed in Cullen’s eyes as Zack bent to pick them up off the floor, making Zack stumble when he went to put them on a nearby table. Cullen’s hand shot out and kept Zack from falling. There was no censure in his gaze, no disappointment, not even any mocking.
Just knowing that Cullen didn’t think any worse for him stumbling boosted Zack’s confidence, making it possible for him to keep his hands steady as he folded his pants, underwear, and socks and stacked them on the table. Then he yanked his shirt over his head and placed the folded material on top of the others.
When he was all done, his gaze went back to Cullen’s and he gasped. That fire that had been there was now an inferno of lust. Zack swore he could actually feel the heat burning a path as Cullen’s eyes swept along his body. Never in Zack’s life had he felt as exposed as he did in this moment, but instead of trying to cover up, he found himself wanting to show himself off to Cullen.
“You are so beautiful,” Cullen whispered as he stepped closer.
Zack shivered as Cullen lifted a hand to Zack’s face and traced a finger down his cheek and along his jaw, down his neck to his collarbone. He didn’t stop there, as he continued downward, stopping to pinch one nipple, then moving over the other and scraping a nail across the now tight bud.
Zack had no idea his nipples were so sensitive, but it was as if they were a conduit to his dick, which twitched with each of the touches. When Cullen continued, Zack jumped when those fingers skimmed over his ribs.
Cullen’s lips lifted. “Ticklish, sweetheart?”
Zack didn’t bother to answer as his reaction made it obvious. Plus, he wasn’t sure his voice would actually work at the moment, for his mouth had gone completely dry as he stood there just feeling Cullen’s hand on his body.
The further down those fingers went, the more Zack’s dick strained to be noticed. He feared the moment Cullen touched him there, he wouldn’t be able to control coming. He didn’t even know it was possible to be this turned on by nothing more than a touch, but there was something so erotic about Zack standing there naked in front of a completely clothed Cullen.
And his touch.
Zack’s head rolled back on his shoulder as Cullen’s fingers were close enough to his prick for Zack to feel the heat of his hand on his sensitive flesh.
“So responsive.” Cullen’s voice had gotten deeper, huskier as he spoke. “Tell me what you want.”
Zack popped open eyes he hadn’t even realized he’d closed to stare up at the man he wanted more than anything. “I want you inside of me.” There was no way, just a mere two weeks ago, Zack would have been able to admit anything close to that. He had no idea what had changed within him, but Zack knew a large part had to do with this man.
For, even as he said the words, Zack knew that wasn’t all he wanted. When Ethan and Nathan had first told him about BDSM, it had been the being tied up part that had held Zack’s interest. His whole life, he had a way of screwing things up. He didn’t want that, especially with Cullen. If he was tied up, not able to move, he couldn’t ruin their first time together. “I want you to tie me up so I don’t have to do anything.”
Cullen smiled, then kissed him. “Good boy,” he praised. Then he wrapped his hand around Zack’s aching dick.
Zack cried out, his hips bucking in order to get more friction. By the time Cullen had moved his hand up and down Zack’s stalk four times, Zack was ready to come. His balls pressed up tight to his body.
But just as he felt the base of his spine tingling in preparation for his orgasm, Cullen yanked on his balls. The bite of pain pushed his need back. Zack was tempted to beg Cullen to let him finish, but before he could, Cullen said, “No coming just yet, boy.”
A whimper fell from his lips.
