Gray stepped out of the room and glided down the curving staircase to the first floor, his body already warming to the idea of the grownups playing once the little ones were asleep. After arriving in the kitchen, he picked a bottle of white wine from the wine fridge and went in hunt of the corkscrew opener. Once opened, he let the wine breathe a moment before pulling the Chicken Leandro from the oven. The cheese on top was a bit too brown, but hopefully it wasn’t too overdone.

Gray chuckled. Food wasn’t exactly the priority, he was quite sure.

As soon as he had the more intimate kitchen table set and poured two glasses, he felt two strong hands sliding over his hips.

“That was quick,” Gray murmured, clearly feeling the imprint of Rohan’s hard cock against his ass. Need slammed into him, as it almost always did when he sensed his alpha’s desire.

“I had an omega who clearly needed me,” Rohan whispered against his ear. “I wasted no time.”

Gray lowered the wine bottle and leaned into his alpha’s strength. “Am I so transparent?”

“Transparent? Not at all… it’s just easy to recognize. Especially when I feel just as needy tonight.”

Gray turned in the circle of Rohan’s arms, smiling slightly. He lifted his stare and met Rohan’s. “Keep talking like that and we just might have to skip dinner.”

“What I’m starving for… well, let’s say… it’s not food.” Rohan glanced around them. “It’s quiet tonight. Where is everyone?”

“Auggie and Lake are both spending the night at friends’ houses,” Gray answered. His nephews had recently come to live with them, and they were all adjusting to having a tween and a surly teenager in the house. “And I gave the staff a night off,” Gray added before lowering his voice a bit. “Then you ended up home late. What a waste of that free time.”

“I wish I could’ve avoided it,” Rohan said. “Work has been… tiresome as of late. I would’ve much preferred to be here with you, trust me.”

Gray ran his hands up Rohan’s arms, feeling the muscles tight with stress under his white button-down. “Anything I could do to help?”

He lowered his head, moving his lips into kissing distance. “You already are, love.” Rohan lifted Gray and lowered him to sit on the large kitchen island. The alpha pushed between Gray’s thighs and kissed him, roughly. They feasted on each other’s mouths, starving for these precious moments alone.

A flash of excitement crept up Gray’s spine, his cock growing even harder. He could feel his slick dripping—coating his tight hole in preparation for what came next.

Just when things grew to fever pitch…

“Dada?” came from the top of the stairs.

They broke apart, panting.

“Dada?” came more loudly, the pitter-patter of a second pair of little feet sounded above. “Firsty!”

Both Rohan and Gray chuckled.

“We should’ve known to wait a few minutes before we attempted this,” Rohan said. He turned his head toward the stairs. “Be right there!”
