Archie Knowles has been in love with his hot fireman neighbor, Sean Waverly ever since he moved into the same apartment building. Sean is rugged, muscular, and oh so sexy. And gay. When Archie first moved in, Sean propositioned him. Archie turned him down because Archie wanted a love relationship and Sean…he just wanted sex. So though they’ve lived near each other for months, they’ve only ever been friends.

But when Archie faces the disappointment of not getting a promotion at work, he decides he is through not getting what he wants out of life and he makes a proposition of his own to Sean: He wants hot, wild, animalistic sex.

Sean doesn’t believe Archie really wants the friends with benefits arrangement he proposes, but Archie has vowed to go elsewhere if Sean won’t accommodate him. Sean can’t let someone else have Archie, so he gives in to the cute twink. Wild, animalistic sex may just be hiding love.

Be Warned: m/m sex

Archie Knowles had made a decision. This time he was going to have things his way.

No more sacrificing for others. Doing the work for others. Or giving into others. He didn’t want to be a doormat even one more day.

Losing the promotion at work to his co-worker, Nancy, had been the last straw. How many hours of overtime had he put in? How many errands had he done for his boss? And for what? To have someone else get hispromotion.

Archie stuck his key into the lock of his apartment door, twisted it, and stepped inside. It sucked coming home to an empty apartment especially after the hellacious day he’d already had. But if luck was on his side he would not be alone for long.

That was if Sean Waverly was at home. Firemen had crazy schedules and Archie couldn’t remember Sean’s.

He tossed his leather satchel onto his battered hand-me down leather couch and went straight into the kitchen to pour himself something sugary. He needed energy. Lots of it.

Tonight would be the night he was going to have sex with his neighbor, Sean. Hot, mindless sex if he had anything to say about it.

Archie found the energy drink he’d shoved to the back of the fridge and downed it in a couple of gulps. He pulled off his clothes as he headed down the hallway. If he was going to have Sean fuck him then a shower was in order.

When that had been taken care of he pulled on sweat pants, not bothering with underwear or even a shirt, stuck his feet in flip flops and with still wet hair, and snagged the keys to his apartment off the side table he’d left them on when he first got home.

With a fortifying deep breath, he opened his door and strode down the hall to Sean’s apartment. Should he have brought lube with him? Condoms? Surely a guy like Sean would have those, though, right?

He knocked and waited. Knocked and waited some more.

Then he heard the turn of the doorknob and he very nearly chickened out and went dashing back to his own apartment. What the hell was he doing? Him and a guy like Sean doing the nasty?

Well, now he was caught, wasn’t he? Archie raised his gaze to the six-foot three hunky fireman standing in the doorway. He nearly swallowed his tongue. He’d seen plenty of those fireman calendars and Sean surely should have starred in June, July, and August.

Sean had dark hair, dark eyes, and sexy stubble covering his chiseled jaw. He had on a pair of snug jeans and a blue T-shirt his biceps bulged out from.

“Archie? Are you okay?”

He blinked. “Yeah. Um, you know that thing we talked about a couple of months ago?”

“Thing?” Sean frowned and took a step back. “Why don’t you come inside?”

Oh, that was good. Yeah. Inside.

Archie walked into Sean’s apartment, doing his best to brush Sean on the way by him. Sean closed the door behind him.

“Okay, what’s up, Archie?’ Sean asked. He leaned against his door, arms crossing in front of him. Which of course made his biceps bulge more. Archie supposed it wouldn’t be right to lick them. At least not yet.

Back then, when Sean had made his proposition, Archie had immediately said no. He was so not that kind of guy. But that was then. Now, he intended to be exactly that kind of guy.

“You remember your proposition?”

Sean tilted his head and stared at Archie. Kind of like he thought Archie had a screw lose. “Proposition?”

Okay, so Sean was going to drag it out of him. So be it.

“You wanted to have sex,” he blurted out. He very much figured he was blushing by the heat radiating from his face. “Just, you know, casual. Friends with benefits having wild, hot animalistic sex.”
