Nicole Morgan always manages to bring genuine emotion and depth to her characters and this book is no exception. Alexis is wonderfully portrayed as a hard working mother, with baggage, and flaws, who finds the courage to meet someone new. Little does she know that the man she believes is a stranger has been thinking about her for years, after she cared for him in the hospital. This story is beautifully done, and the backstory touched my heart and made me root for these two. As always, the depth of the characters made the intimacy between them all that much more intense. Another 5 star book!
A ver sweet, romantic, very erotic story. Loved it!

4.5 LIGHTNING BOLTS: "Nicole Morgan weaves another enchanting tale. She has the ability to write modern day fairy tales that sweep you away in the hope that one day your prince charming will come along. Move over Cinderella, Nicole is taking the art of fairy tale writing to new heights. Alexis is a divorced mother of teenaged twins and her life centers around their wants and needs. Trying her best to stay on an even path and not totally fall apart after her devastating divorce. After he ex-husband leaves her for a younger woman she is rattled and feels no one is going to want her now. She is older and things just aren't as perky as they once were. The one thing that brings her joy is the work she does at the VA hospital. She feels like someone else needs her besides her kids. I really felt for Alexis in this story. She is older and thinks she is way too old to date. Her daughter pushes her to get out and she finally take the plunge. Jace returned from war in a bad state. His fiance left him and his mother died while he was deployed. It was just all too much and drove him to the state of mind that it would just be easier to check out completely from his tragic life. Then a gorgeous woman stopped by to talk to him at the VA hospital and finally he found a reason the live. But his hopes were dashed when he found out she was married. So he decided to try to move on the best he could but she was never far from his thoughts. I loved Jace right from the start. He sweeps Alexis off her feet and leaves her breathless. He definitely earned the title prince charming. One day fate stepped in and he came across his saving angel. He was shocked to find out she was now divorced. This was the chance he had been waiting for. Can two scarred people find a way to heal each other? This was a whorl wind romance that I found enchanting. Nicole worked her magic once again in the telling of this story. She is nothing short of amazing in the romance genre. Kudos Nicole for allowing your readers to lose themselves in your extremely romantic tales. I would recommend this book to anyone that loves a happily ever after tale." -- Tabitha Blake, Storm Goddess Book Reviews & More

She had gotten home late, and Ariel and Andrew were already in bed. After knocking on their doors, she quickly told them goodnight, offering the excuse that she was tired and going to bed. The truth of the matter was she didn’t want her teenage children to see her hair a mess with the look of having had sex still plastered on her face.

Her night with Jace had been incredible. So much so that the entire rest of the evening she lingered between a daze induced by their lovemaking and the intense joy she felt from finally connecting to someone. All of her years of being a loyal and loving wife, she had no idea what she was missing.

She had loved Jonathon and was thankful for the two beautiful children they’d had together. Still she couldn’t help but feel a bit of remorse for all the years she had stayed in a marriage so blindly thinking she knew what love was when she never felt an ounce for him as what she was beginning to feel for Jace.

The phone rang, and she got up from her place at the kitchen table. Her body was sore in places that she had forgotten had muscles, causing her to walk a little slower than she normally would.

“Morning, beautiful. How’d you sleep last night?”

A smile spread across her face. “Jace.”

“Got it on the first try. Whew, and here I was worried you might have forgotten about me,” he teased.

“Right. Yeah, it took me a second, but the voice did sound familiar.”

He chuckled. “Good to know I leave such a strong impression.”

All she could do was smile. He was so charming and such a delight to be around that she couldn’t help but just get lost in the moment with him.

“Umm…You still there?”

“Sorry. I was just thinking.”

“Ahh…good thoughts, I hope.”

She laughed. “Very good thoughts.”

“Nice. Score one for Jace.”

She laughed. “So, what can I do for you?”

“Well, it is Friday. I was thinking maybe you and I could go away for a couple of days. You know, spend time with one another without me having to get you home before you turn into a pumpkin.”

“For anything to turn into a pumpkin, this would have to be a fairy tale,” she teased, thoroughly enjoying the easy banter that came so natural with him.

“Who says it’s not?”

“Oh, really? So, if this was a fairy tale, which princess would I be?”

“Well, that all depends on you, beautiful. Just pick your fairy tale, and I will become that Prince Charming and make all your dreams come true.”

She giggled and shook her head. “You are something else, Jace. Do you have a book of the sweetest things to say to sweep a woman off of her feet?”

“A book? Surely you jest. Would it be so hard to believe that I’m just that sweet?”

“Hmm…I suppose not. After all, you did sweep me off my feet last night. Literally.”

They both laughed at her innuendo. It was so easy to be herself with him. There was no pressure of trying to act a certain way or say the right things. It was just…right.

“In that case, I’m not leaving it up for debate. I’ll pick you up at seven. Pack light. Where we’re going you won’t be needing a lot of clothes.”

“Is that right? Well, maybe I’ll bring flannel pajamas and turtlenecks just to prove that you shouldn’t be too sure of yourself.”

“Okay, but then I’ll be forced to burn your suitcase.”

“Oh my goodness.” She laughed. “You are relentless.”

His voice became serious. “When it comes to getting what I want, I am very relentless. Listen, I gotta go, baby. I’ll see you tonight. Can’t wait to see you again.”

She heard the click of the phone but still just stood there for a moment allowing his words to sink in. Aside from his charm and wit, he was at times so sincere that it gave her reason to just slow down and listen to him intently. She turned to hang up the phone and wondered if it was even possible.

To believe in fairy tales meant she would have to believe in happily ever after. She long since gave up on those the moment she caught her husband with another woman. During the divorce and the time since then, she had resigned herself to the fact she would grow old alone. She had her children, and she had managed to convince herself that was all she needed.

Somehow though, in a matter of only a couple of days, Jace Walker had taken her potential for a life of solitude and all but thrown it out the window. She could analyze it and think of a list of reasons as to why she should just walk away before she got hurt. She just didn’t have it in her.

Dating Jace was fun and exciting. She was experiencing new things. For all intents and purposes, she was finally living. It hit her then that being a mother had its rewards, but for far too long she had lived for only her children. Now it was for her.

“Well, Alexis. It looks like you better take a long hot bath and get packed. Your Prince Charming will be here at seven with the carriage.”

“Undo your jeans.”

His demand startled her, and she turned to see a look in his eyes that scared and excited her all at once. She could’ve asked questions. She could’ve stopped to think about what she was doing or even protested just a little. That wasn’t what she wanted though. She wanted him. Whatever Jace was willing to give her, she would take.

Unsnapping her jeans, she stared at him as his eyes gazed at her movements. Once the zipper was down she was left with a moment of embarrassment. The paunch in her belly was showing, and she pulled her T-shirt down to cover it in hopes he didn’t see it.

“Pull them down.”

Her eyes grew wide, and she looked to him, certain she hadn’t heard him right. “I’m sorry?”

“Pull your jeans down to your ankles.”

His voice left no room for argument. She didn’t know what turned her on more. His kiss, tongue, and taste had been driving her crazy just moments ago, but now his dominant instructions were fueling the fire which raged inside her.

“The panties, too,” he added.

She lifted her hips and pulled at the sides of her jeans and panties. Working them down little by little, she finally got them to her knees, and they started to fall more freely until she was sitting in the front seat naked from the waist down. She felt like a teenage girl on a hot Friday night with her boyfriend.

“Kick them off,” he told her.

Her chest was pounding, and her once still breaths were now replaced with heaving as she struggled for calm, but could find none.

Jace reached his hand down and pulled a lever. In slow motion she watched as his seat went backward into an almost flat position. He didn’t say anything, instead reached his hand out to her and waited until she took it.

A moment later she was straddling him, nothing separated the two most intimate parts of their bodies as his hard cock lay against her wet pussy. She wanted to move, slide, and rock her hips until he was inside her, but waited for his direction. The way he spoke to her and told her what to do excited her. She had no idea why, but it did.

“Do you want me?” he asked.

Biting on her lower lip, she nodded her answer.

“Tell me.” He swiped his tongue along her lips and nibbled on her lip, pulling it free from her bite. “Tell me what you want, where you want me.”

She stopped herself before the words came out. How could she tell him what she was honestly thinking? Everywhere would have been her answer, but what would he think? She wanted him inside her pussy, she wanted to feel him thrusting inside of her, but more than anything she wanted to finish what she started. She wanted to take him in her mouth and not stop stroking and sucking on him until he exploded into her. That was what she was dying for.

“Jesus, look at you. You’re so beautiful. There is nothing I wouldn’t give you. Nothing at all. So tell me, what do you want?”

Her pussy was dripping with lust for him. So much so that she forgot about her fears and just allowed the words to be said.

“I want you in my mouth.”

“Oh God. Yeah?”

“Yes. That’s what I want.”

He placed his hands on her waist and helped lift her a little. “Turn around. If you’re going to get what you want, so am I.”

A moment of adulthood hit her, and she hesitated. Looking around the car for signs that anyone was around, she stopped. “Maybe we should stop until—”

Quickly Jace interrupted her, “Turn around. I am going to eat your pussy while you suck on my cock. Do it now.”

A tremor wracked her body when his demanding words hit her. She wanted to do whatever he said. She wanted to listen to his requests, follow through, and please him.

Jace helped her as she struggled to turn in the confines of the front seat of the car. A few bumps of her head and an adjustment of him lying on the seat and she was now hunched over him, her mouth an inch from that beautiful cock which she sucked on so hungrily minutes before.

“Take it in your mouth, baby. Suck me off.”

Just as he said it, she felt the warm glide of his tongue swipe across the outside of her pussy lips. Then his hands grabbed onto her ass and pulled her down to him. In a tornado of sensations he slid past her wet slit and started to work his tongue in and out of her pussy.

Her mouth opened, and she gasped in pleasure while he thrust his hips up and slid his cock inside until it hit the back of her throat. Her lips closed over his shaft and began sucking with adoring attention. He fit so perfectly inside her mouth. She wanted to keep him there, so hard, thick, and full while she gave him pleasure with nothing more than her mouth and tongue.

He flicked his tongue across her clit and a jolt shot through her body. Her hips started to move of their own accord as he teased the area around her sensitive nub. She wanted that again, needed to feel the friction once more.
