When woman meets werewolf, the sex can drive them wild…

Morgane has problems with men. Being a werewolf, and wary of humans, it’s inevitable. But when she meets the intense and enigmatic Aelric, she falls hard. She’s never experienced feelings like this before: desperate for his touch, crazy for the feeling of his skin on hers, and ready to surrender to him heart and soul.

Aelric has never had a problem with women; he’s a master of seduction. So when his alpha orders him to seduce Morgane for information about her clan, he accepts. He’s entranced by her supple curves and soft lips, but for once, he wants more than just her body. He wants her for his mate. But he can’t reveal his true identity, or his intentions. For he’s part of a rival clan of werewolves intent on the domination of Morgane’s pack. And dark forces are gathering that might destroy their fiery relationship…

Chapter OneBudapest. Aelric grimaced. This was not his territory, and being around so many humans had him on high alert. But he couldn’t help being seduced by the city. The muted hum of activity drifted up to where he stood, the horns of barges and tour boats carrying farther due to the river. The mighty Danube looked impervious and serene from the heights of Buda’s castle, its path eternally marking the boundary between Buda and Pest. He stared down at the river from the parapets, and wished it would carry him away from the task at hand. He didn’t enjoy this cloak and dagger stuff. He listened to the tourists talking, wondering why he’d volunteered for this. Surely there were better ways of obtaining the information they needed. But he knew why he’d volunteered. Seduction was his forte. His target lifted her hand to explain some of the architecture of the castle, her clear voice carrying to him from his place in the back of the tour group. She was nothing to him, really, just a source. This tour was the first he’d seen her, despite the intelligence he’d already gathered. He’d been informed that she didn’t normally give tours; this was a special request that he’d arranged to set up this chance meeting. Normally, she oversaw the castle’s operations. The reports he’d commissioned had also detailed her specific position within her family, her business degree, her preferences for food, even her last lover—more than two years earlier. But what each report had failed to describe was how utterly sexy she was with those full, red lips, luminescent skin, and dark midnight hair. As if reading his mind, she glanced at him and their eyes locked.Slowly, she licked her lips, and then smiled seductively, tracing the edge of her mouth with her finger. For a moment, the space between them receded, and all he smelled was her scent. Sweet. Seduction. Christ, he was supposed to be doing the seducing. Being attracted to her was not part of the plan. This was business, and not a damn thing more.As she held an arm to point out some of the features of the Baroque period, her taut breasts pressed against her knit dress. Her curves were outlined alluringly by the fabric, and Aelric traced their outlines in his mind. A craving took hold of him, urging him to pull her into the nearest vacant room, find out if the look she had given him meant a promise of something more or was just a tease. Either way, he focused intently upon his newest target. The idea of mixing business with pleasure became more and more appealing. He angled his body slightly so that he could take in every nuance of her body. The way her breasts moved, the way she touched her neck and hair, even the way she smiled at the other tourists trying to flirt with her. He imagined her cultured accent changing to moans as he drove himself into the slick wet heat of her, thought of her parting her legs for him, crying out in excitement. Shit, he was hard. He averted his eyes as she moved into the next room, her hips swaying as she walked. This was doing nothing to douse his desire. He fought to bring his mind back to the tour.Following the rest of the group to the next room, he pointedly reminded himself of why he was there. But when she smoothed a lock of her lustrous midnight hair back into its chic pony, all he could think about was reaching up to pull her hair out of its hold, to loop his hands in it and pull her head back to bare her neck to him. She put a hand to her throat as if deep in thought, her pale skin glowing in the early morning sun. She met his gaze and turned directly to face him, one eyebrow raised, and then smiled at him knowingly. Heat coursed through him with the realization that the enticing smile was meant for him alone. He pretended to study the tapestry in front of them. Focus. He inhaled. This wasn’t the time to be thinking of her. He only needed her interest piqued, but he wasn’t doing a good job of keeping his own in check. They concluded the tour, and he watched the satisfied tourists disperse. He’d been invited to join them on other tours of the city, but he’d politely declined, citing a business engagement. Which was only partly an untruth. He waited until she was alone, having seen off the other VIPs. She turned to him and her mouth quirked in the hint of a smile as if in invitation. Oh, yes, now it was time. He planted his feet firmly on the flagstones in front of the winged flanks of the building. He put on an air of nonchalance as she approached, her leather boots clacking against the stones.“Can I help you, Mr. Miskolc?” She smiled, jokingly using his region for a name since he’d never provided one.“You can.” He inhaled the sharp scent of her, a mixture of cloves and vanilla, a smell that brought to mind Eastern bazaars and oatmeal cookies. He reached out his hand, and she placed her palm into his. Her touch was warm and sensual. Her body would be just as hot beneath his. “I’m Aelric. Have dinner with me. Tomorrow night.”She blinked at the question, as if considering. Sexual energy leapt between them. Certainly, she couldn’t be immune to it any more than he was.“I shouldn’t. We’ve only just met,” she said, but she didn’t release his hand. And her eyes held his gaze.“You can get to know me on Saturday.” He squeezed her hand, stroking the side of her palm with his thumb. She sucked in her bottom lip as if pleased by the sensation.“You’re very insistent, aren’t you?” She cocked her head sideways, giving him a lazy, sensual grin and then nodded at him, deciding. So he hadn’t misread her. Still holding her hand, he reached into his pocket, and then held out his phone, asking for her number. She didn’t wait for his answer to her hypothetical question, merely grinned and tapped the phone with her fingers.“Now you have me in the palm of your hand.” Her bantering tone washed over him, a tease that tempted him. Too much.“I’ll pick you up at eight.” He pocketed the outstretched phone and held out his hand to take hers again.“OK.” She put her hands in his and widened her eyes when he didn’t let go. “I have to get back to work.”“Of course.” He released her palm slowly. She walked away, and he enjoyed watching her hips sway. This was part of his plan: ask her out, get some information from her on the date. What he hadn’t planned on was relishing her interest this much.He entered the date into his phone’s calendar, knowing that it would be a full moon tomorrow. Not ideal, but he would just have to work around it; he would have to leave early. He definitely couldn’t be around her when the moon rose. He ran through the scenario of canceling the date, but shook his head. Not an option. As she reached the entrance into her the administrative office, she turned around and smiled at him. He grinned back without thinking. Definitely not an option.
