Finn had expected to wake up alone, as he’d fallen asleep before Mace had come back to bed, but when he rolled over his body rubbed against a wall of solid muscle. A strong hand slid over his naked torso in a very familiar way. He blinked as he tried to focus. He had gotten a little inebriated, but his memories all fell into place within seconds.

Most particularly the one in which Mace had refused to fuck him.

Mace’s eyes remained closed, so Finn studied him as he tried to ignore the pounding in his head. He hadn’t drunk any water out of spite, and now he felt like an idiot. Wine and liquor always gave him a headache regardless, so today wasn’t going to start out well at all.

Mace lay in the middle of the bed, crowding against Finn. Though Finn knew they hadn’t had sex last night, he noted that Mace was naked. Finn resisted the temptation to lift the covers and get another look. There’d be plenty of time for that later.

While Finn hadn’t actually been drunk, his judgment hadn’t been at its best. Mace could’ve taken advantage of that in any number of ways, but he hadn’t. Finn wasn’t going to mention it, but he liked that. Now, anyway. Last night it had frustrated him, especially when Mace had left him to go masturbate alone. Finn had only gotten a little taste of the man, and he wanted more.

Moving his gaze back up to Mace’s face, he saw Mace had woken up. Mace smiled and drew Finn close. “You sleep all right?”

“Yeah.”

“Headache?” Mace asked, his hand caressing Finn’s stomach.

“Not bad.”

Mace leaned over and kissed him on the cheek as if they’d woken up together dozens of times. Finn realized they hadn’t actually kissed yet. Just as Finn was thinking of moving closer to remedy that, Mace rolled out of bed and threw a robe on, only tying it very loosely. “Gonna check our position. We should be close. I booked us a room, and I have a brief meeting this afternoon.”

Finn said, “Yeah, all right.” He watched Mace leaving the room and wondered what to do next. Finn rubbed his eyes and made himself get up. Standing made his head pound even more. He walked into the bathroom and drank three glasses of water before checking the water levels. There was plenty for both of them to shower, and they could top up on the planet when they landed. He struggled to remember where Mace had said they were going. It began with an R, but Finn’s brain wouldn’t retrieve the information for him.

Letting the shower get nice and steamy, Finn took his pants off and tossed them aside. He sighed loudly once he was under the spray. Immediately he felt better and began to scrub himself down. Just as he was about to turn the water off, the door opened. Mace stood there, once again naked, and grinned at him.

“You about done?” Mace asked.

Finn eyed Mace’s cock, which was glorious even when it wasn’t hard. “You could join me.”

“We’re almost there.” His grin widened. “That would take too long.”

Finn stepped out when Mace handed him a towel. “No excuses tonight.”

“Wouldn’t dream of it,” Mace said before closing the shower door.

Finn stayed right there to dry off, watching Mace’s silhouette. “You could at least touch yourself. Give me something.”

Mace laughed. “Don’t you worry. I’ll make it up to you.”

“Hmmm.” Finn walked out of the bathroom and began to dress, sorting through his bag as he did so.
