I loved the story and was even more happy to see that when the guys screwed it up, they had to grovel to get her back. She didn't just cave in easy!!!

What is there not to love about this book, menage and a baby. It has the true Dixie style I have come to love in her books and that is why I devour them on release day. Of this series this may be my favorite. I love how her heroines stand up for themselves and Nina did just that on her own in this one. Had moments I teared up, but I knew I would get my HEA. Great job Dixie, cant wait for the next one.

Hmm. I'm conflicted on this book. Characters were 4.5. Plot was 3. I liked Nina and really felt for her--the fact that she never really had love I her life and was so lonely. I really liked the heroes. They were very cynical and black and white in their views, which felt very realistic. They had distinct and different personalities which I loved. But the plot itself was a bit boring. There was a lot of plotting by multiple characters who had different motivations. I liked the complexity. What I didn't like was the heroes basically being bystanders in the entire story. They were not active participants, aside from giving Nina a place to stay. Even Nina who was more active, seemed lost in the various mob dramas. As a character, things happened around her, but she wasn't really a catalyst for anything. She felt peripheral to her OWN story and that made me sad. I wanted to see the heroes ACTIVELY protecting her and the danger be ABOUT her. It wasn't, it was more about her brother and mob plots. Nina was forgotten. One thing I did love the most though we're the heroes finally having to work for her love and forgiveness. So, for me this was a mixed bag. I'm giving it a 4 based on the strength of the characters, even though the plot was really disappointing. Especially since I was so intrigued by Nina's plight in Book 1 and was expecting a much more suspenseful, dramatic read.

Wow this one was a thrilling read. Naila is amazing I loved how she is a mobs boss daughter but yet she has been raised away from this excerpt for some training her father had her learn. When she is finally ready to take her life to a new level her fathers enemies make them know. I must say that I was shocked at the deceit in the beginning and how her life was changed in an instant. I enjoyed that Naila was a tough as any man and could handle her own. However I did like she let her men lead but yet she still maintained her strength and courage.

I don't know how Dixie does it but this series just gets better with each book. Nalia and Boian have a history but he left her when her father warned him off her. She didn't know and it devastated her. Years later, she's in trouble and on the run for her life and Boian and his team are there to rescue her. Several of the team members fight their feelings for her but eventually, all 5 men win her over. When she disappears again, it's up to the guys to find her and once again, she helps in saving herself and another woman who has been held captive for 3 years. I'm betting her book is coming up soon. All in all, a great book and I can't wait for the next one!!!!

Very good book. This book goes back to the Russian mob world which I must admit, I could not get into when it was Aspen's story. But I loved Nalia--her toughness and strength. She did whatever she needed to survive and I especially loved that she was trained to defend herself. She was capable and not just a damsel in distress. For a heroine, she was a nice change of pace. As for the heroes--hot, hot, hot! The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars was the lull thru the whole middle of the book. After Nalia was taken to Salvation there wasn't much dramatic tension or feeling of danger until the last couple of chapters. Sure, that created time for the H/h to develop a relationship but it felt like nothing but sex scene after sex scene. Not that I don't love those lol, but more story mixed in would've been nice. I am SOOO looking forward to Malayna and Nina's books. Just the glimpses we got of their back stories were so compelling. I can't wait to read the rest of the series!

A bit slow getting gone but good once it did. Characters were very believable and engaging. Would like to see hero more involved in plot ending rather than the heroine always the one to be captured and injured.

I loved Missy Ann's story. She is trying to survive and struggling. When the Connelly men help her overcome her fears you can really start to see how strong and special she really is. Antonio and Finn were my two favorite. Both demanding and domineering yet gentle when Missy Ann needs them to be. This one is my favorite of the series. Can't wait to read more!

I was eager to read Missy Ann's story since her introduction in the previous book (Eliza Grace's book). I liked Missy Ann. She was still recovering from being kidnapped and it was a slow process but I liked that it was realistic and not overly dramatic. She was realistic and knew her own limitations and issues. I loved Finn and Salvatore who were there for her from the beginning. I also appreciated that they didn't introduce her to Antonio and Billy for months, respecting her privacy and the need for her to heal. Also, I liked that Antonio and Billy were not ex soldiers or law enforcement. They were businessmen--a nice change of pace. So, overall, this was a nice, sweet story. I did have 2 issues: 1) The ending was very, very rushed. There was no real lead in to the drama near the end. It almost came out of nowhere. 2) Needed more action IMO. Had there been more action/drama throughout the book, the ending wouldn't have felt so rushed and abrupt. Still, despite those issues, I enjoyed the book.

THE GOOD: 1) Loved the heroes. I liked that Tazer & Lynch were their more intense of the men, while Burker and Parker were less so. The men were loving yet firm and I thought it was great that they had doubts and fears themselves. 2) Eliza Grace pretty good. She wanted to take control of her life and took steps to do that. I liked that she had that drive to succeed. THE BAD: Ms. Dwyer can be really repetitive. Eliza Grace is constantly being described as "petite" and "shy" by LITERALLY every character in the book. Every one. It made no sense that every person would constantly call her those things. Most of them didn't even know her. Same with the descriptions of the men--they are always sooo big and sooo scary and muscular and capable. It's overkill. 2). I wish the author would switch things up. The heroine's are always scared of intimacy because of a trauma from her past or an abusive boyfriend. I'm a sucker for damsels in distress and alpha heroes who save the days but it'd be nice to see heroines be a little less weak and scared all the time. 3). What's up with all the double names? Eliza Grace, Shelby Ann, Missy Ann. It's kind of annoying to constantly refer to people by both names. Overall, still a good book amd I am looking forward to Missy Ann's book.

Got a little sloppy on this one. Need to remember the names of the men. The first time, okay, the second and third were a bit too much! Maybe a little more story line and a little less on the sex...it becomes "Alright already"

Eh. I feel like I skimmed a lot of this. I really liked Caroline's story, and unfortunately with Shelby's book coming right after, this just felt redundant. Shelby's story was exactly like Caroline's and frankly, Caroline's book was much better IMO. I liked Shelby from previous books--in those she was strong and interesting. In this story, she seemed weak and weepy. I just couldn't get into it. I really liked Eliza though and am looking forward to her story.

Wow if I could give this book more than a 5 Star rating I totally would!!! When I started reading this book I felt a little lost because I tried to figure out who this book was about. But the further I got I liked what Ms. Dwyer did with this book and how mother and daughter would get their happily ever after. Sydney was a beautiful young woman that had a lot on her shoulders but moving to Texas was the best thing for them as a family. Her mother Stella recovered from breast cancer and what can I say about Ella but that soon she would have to grow up every quickly. There was something about Sydney that I could relate too. It was like me reading about my own life when I was growing up. I remember having to take care of my little sister after my father went to prison. I was the one that had to work because my mom was disabled and my sister was in high school. It’s hard when you live to take care of your family and totally forget about yourself about what you need. Coming to Texas was going to change her life and she was finally going to be able live her dream. Hart, Juno, Orsin and Atlas were hard men but a small beautiful brunette was going to change them forever. They loved their mother so much and they blamed their father for her heart attack. They lived near him and in all this time in Pearl they had not ever seen him but all that was going to change every soon. When Hart saw Sydney for the very first time he felt an attraction but he fought it that was until his other brothers felt was he did. Altas and Orsin were the first men who had the privilege to take her out for lunch and even a stroll to the last not to mention a kiss. This attraction that they feel is something that frightens them and they can’t help but think about the woman that broke them that made them so hard against a relationship. But Sydney was going to open their heart to not only love but maybe also forgiveness. Ella is a bright young woman but doesn’t make the right choices at least until it’s too late. Sydney is always there to take care of her little sister making sure that she doesn’t get into any trouble but this one time Ella is dug in deep. I couldn’t believe what Ella had done and to not only put her mother and sister in danger but then Matt and Jimmy. Ella needed to grow and quit flirting with every man that pays attention to her. Did she not learn from the jerks from New York? Sing Me a Song was an exceptional read! I loved this story it was full of emotions that got my heart racing. I was watching two relationships develop but what I wanted to read more about was the bonding between daughter and father. The chemistry between Sydney and her men was explosive and passionate. I love how they were able to get take care of Sydney because she was a wonderful person that deserved happiness. I totally recommend this read!!!

When someone believes they made a mistake it could be the beginning of a beautiful relationship. This is the ninth book in the Hearts on Fire series and a series that I have loved from the moment that I read the first book. There is just something about first responders that I love maybe it’s the uniform or maybe it’s because of the brilliant women these first responders fall in love with. The story lines in these series are awesome they are creative and intriguing. They bring out so many emotions in me when I’m reading that at times they are overwhelming. In Her Shadows of Light you have Brighid that believes she made a mistake the night her fantasy came true. Then you Reece and Rusty that can’t believe that the woman they were both so attracted to fled the morning after. The only things was they never thought that they would see her again until Pat and Tobin invited her to go to the Station. I have to hand it to Brighid she tried her best to sneak away but she was not fast enough. She feels so bad because she can’t believe she slept with brothers but the worst part is that she is attracted to the four of them. She shouldn’t feel ashamed because the brothers are her future they are her everything. Once their relationship starts she realizes that they are first responders and they could be harmed in the line of duty. It is not until the day that the explosion happens the day that she realizes that something is going on at her job that the men she loves could be taken away from her. Only she doesn’t think about herself and what could happen if something happens to her. What will happen if her men can’t get to her fast enough? This story is great and it’s intriguing. The chemistry between these characters is steaming HOT and oh so very erotic. I love how Ms. Dwyer’s writes her love scenes, they are tastefully written. Ms. Dwyer’s writing is exceptional, it’s flawless. I can’t wait to see what she has in store next for this series. I would love to see what is going on with the other characters how they have advanced in their relationships. I would love to know if anyone is expecting. I totally recommend this read!

Caroline is such a sweet girl. I loved that her and Shelby have such a strong bond for one another. As always the story drew me in from the start. Caroline needs someone to protect her and show her that she can trust in love and men. She finds this with Hunter, York, and C.J. I liked how they took things slow with her and was willing to wait and let her set the pace. I do hope Shelby gets her story soon. The teasers are killing me! LOL
