Well Ms. Dwyer has done it again with this story. I couldn’t believe how much emotion I felt while reading this story. It brought me pain, sadness in reading this story because it brought me memories of reading the first book in this series. The pain that CC was feeling was like reading Serefina’s book all over again but in this care CC had lost more than just her boyfriend. CC was a beautiful young woman but with everything that had happened she needed a change in her life. She needed to leave her family and live and that was just what was going to happen in Treasure Town. Her hunk of junk ended up breaking down near a mechanic shop where Kyle and his brother Frank worked. When they saw her it was like lust at first sight. But CC was not ready for anything with anyone now she just needed to concentrate on healing from all that had happened. Kyle knew that there was this instant chemistry but could it be possible that they had found the woman that could bring them back together. He thought that was possible when he met Felicia but all she wanted was to sleep with him and his brothers. Could it be possible that Jenks and Mercury could have the same feelings as Kyle and Frank? These guys were possessive of the woman that they wanted and I could tell that when Frank saw someone named Chris called her. When the explosion was announced on TV I knew that the person that had killed CC’s brother and brother-in-law was not done with his revenge. I knew sooner or later he was going to be seeking CC out and when he found her it was not going to end well. CC was a strong, smart woman but when dealing with a psycho no one is strong enough. Hears on Fire: Saving C.C. was an amazing read. It was great to see some of the old characters back in this book. I really wish that some of the woman would have made an appearance. Then there was the little problem with Kyle and the woman that hurt him I wanted to know more about what happened. But no matter what the intense chemistry that these characters have for each other is steaming HOT. Ms. Dwyer is an awesome writer and love how the words just flow. When I read any of her books I can feel the emotions of the characters as if I am them. I love getting lost in a fantasy world where I can just forget about everything. I totally recommend this read!!

An enjoyable read, but the beat up girlfriend running away finding love and getting caught by the previous boyfriend is getting a bit typical and a bit same old story.

Love is something that can sneak up on people but when it’s meant to be they will be reunited but in order for it to last there need to be communication and trust then it will last forever. When Catalina met the four men that would be in her life for the rest of her life I knew I needed to make sure to read her story. I know that it has taken me awhile before I have read it but yay I finally pushed all other books aside and finished it. I loved that there was a slow build up to their relationship well at least as slow as four handsome hunks would take it. Catalina was in a point of her life where she wanted to fall in love and live happily ever after like some of her friends. She thought that would happen when she met four handsome brothers but they ended up leaving Treasure Town but only lived about an hour away. She thought about leaving and starting her life somewhere else but then there is an opening at the hospital she works at. She is the only employee with the certifications specified but she was not certain she is used to the action in the ER. Cooper and Don were training some new recruits at the fire station and they were out having a good time. They end up seeing Catalina and it’s like the light at the end of the tunnel. The woman that was meant for them is there and this is the perfect time for their other two brothers to come and see her. But there is only one problem that Cody and Jeremy were still trying to find themselves they didn’t want to leave their jobs but what would happen when they saw who they had been courting. I do have to say one more thing about the guys holy cow are they alpha males with dominate tendencies. All I can say is yum, yum and yum. Hearts on Fire: Claiming Catalina was a short story but filled with suspense. The person(s) that were trying to make Jeremy pay were still out there. They needed to be careful because while they are not looking Catalina could be in danger. Trust is something that is important for any relationship and also truth and that’s something that Jeremy needed to learn. But Catalina also needs to learn about communication and trust when it comes to her prior relationship and what could have happened when she saw him again. Ms. Dwyer’s writing is exceptional, sensational and the characters were amazing. The chemistry between these five characters was passionate and HOT. They were amazing together. I couldn’t believe what happened to Catalina and I was at the edge of my seat because of what that psycho planned to do to her. I was yelling at the guys to hurry up and rescue her before he did something horrible to her. I totally recommend this read to other readers!! I can't wait to read the next book in this series!

Great book. This book was full of emotion. I loved Caroline's relationship with her sister Shelby, the slow, sweet buildup between Caroline, Hunter, York and CJ, and the way everyone in town was so caring and protective. I must admit, the Dare series has been very hit or miss for me, but this book definitely hit the right mark. It had all the emotion and heart that I've come to love when this author is on her game. The story was sweet without being over the top, and just what Caroline needed in her life. I enjoyed the heroes as well but I do wish we'd gotten a little more insight into the. Particularly York, as he seemed to get the least story time. Also, there were a few grammar and editing errors. But overall, this was a lovely, heartwarming book. I am really looking forward to Shelby's story!

Good book. It took me a little while to warm up to Sam because sometimes she was too stubborn and it annoyed me. But she also had realistic reactions to the mysteries and machinations going on in her life which I appreciated. I also liked that she was strong, independent, and was no scared virgin. She loved someone else before her mates which was an interesting twist. The plot, and the mystery of her family was pretty good, but a bit convoluted; there were too many characters I think. Still, overall I enjoyed the book.

I really liked Sacha. All of Dixie's woman are strong, but, Sacha is strong inside and out. She can handle her own. It's interesting see how she handles this with her three men who are also strong and used to being in control. I think the storyline was great and on the edge of your seat suspense trying to uncover who is the good guys and who is the bad guys. All in all another great story by Dixie.

In actuality this rates more like a 3.5. I liked the heroes and Ava. I liked that the author switched things up with the story---no crazy danger or criminals, stalkers or murderers. Just Ava, facing a health crisis and Colton and Evan dealing with their absentee father. Loved the concept, but the execution was a bit lacking. After a good start, the cancer scare started to feel.....glossed over. There wasn't a consistent sense of tension or drama throughout Ava's story. Also, I though the true story behind the heroes' relationship with their dad was contrived. I didn't buy it or their reunion. So, overall, I applaud the author for doing something different and hope she tries it again. I just wish the story was tighter.

In this series, this is now my favorite. Sacha is a kickass Marine but when a mission goes wrong, Damien, Elwood and Toro Vancouver come to her rescue. I love that they let her be herself but at the same time, protected her. The sex is hot and them becoming a family is even hotter.

Just OK and more like a 3.5. The story wasn't very compelling to me nor were the characters all that deep or interesting, unfortunately. It took me a lot longer than usual to finish this book. I liked Elise's kick ass personality from the previous books, but we didn't see much of that at all in this story. Disappointing.

This was another great story to the Crossroad Series. The characters are very well developed and the experience of events are well explaining. You will fall in love with a woman that has been put down her entire life. Sonya makes sure that she is not a pushover for any one. When she meets Mason at a party, she has a gut feeling that this is someone that she needs to keep her distance from. Big Guns, Jay Bird and Caleb have felt attraction for Sonya for a while. Will they be able to get Sonya get over her fears of being with someone, no make that 3 people. Or will they be too late when a mad man attacks? Highly recommend this book and series of some very strong women with some hot Alpha males.

Just OK. I couldn't really get into the story for some reason. I felt like I never got a good sense of just who Juliet was. She was Carl and Richie's girlfriend but who was she apart from that? All we knew of her personality was that she was shy. That's it. Nothing about what she wanted out of life, her goals, etc. So, because I didn't know her, I couldn't invest in her or the danger she was in. Even the villains seemed a bit murky and not well defined. This book was not a favorite.

Good book. I loved the uber alpha heroes, although I must admit there there were moments I didn't care for Tyler, as he could be TOO controlling and arrogant sometimes. But overall, I'm a sucker for protective alpha heroes. My only other critique--the ending was way too rushed, which is unfortunately typical for this author.

Love Dixie's books, but this one was meh. The story was slow and there wasn't much of a plot. The side story of Bethany's brother Angelo stealing money and her ex boyfriend's (Curran) cousin Cristano, who was an investor in her boss's business was clunky and a little convoluted in that it didn't really go anywhere. I didn't see any point to Cristano at all. The theft angle would have made more sense if it had just been about Angelo and the people he stole from. As for the romance, none of the characters felt well defined although the heroes were better defined than Bethany. Bethany was...blah. I liked that she had some spunk but for all her supposed fear about prior abuse and trust, she didn't seem hard to convince re: a relationship. I just didn't feel connected to any of the characters the way I'm used to when reading a DLD book. This book felt like a rush job.

This book felt very rushed to me. The relationship between the heroes and heroine just went from zero to sixty in no time. They basically went out on 2 dates and by the second they were pretty much in love. I liked the villian/s who were to really crazy and sadistic. I mean, if you're going to be psycho, might as well go all out. So, that part didn't bother me. I also liked that the author finally had the heroine have LASTING effects from her ordeal. The fact that Sonya wasn't jumping into bed right after being hurt was realistic and a welcome change from DLD's usual books. It's just too bad the love story--the 1st 2/3 of the book--was so...stilted and rushed. Also, there were a lot of typos, so the editing could've been better.

This was another great story. The plot was definitely a hit lots of suspense. Mason and his brother are both lunatics if you ask me but it they made for a great story. Sonya and her men had great chemistry when they finally get together and you can see her blossoming when she is with them. All in all another wonderful story .

Good book. Like others have said, I like that the author mixed up Brigid and the men's first meetings. The fact that it started off with a one night stand was actually really refreshing and different. I liked all the heroes but especially Tobin. I didn't love the arson/insurance fraud p/crazy killer storyline quite as much though because it didn't make a ton of sense IMO. I mean, I got it, but it felt random and far fetched. Unlike in the last few books/series the ending/epilogue had a bit more detail which I appreciated. I like that Brigid still had a couple of issues related to her ordeal which was realistic. Overall, a pretty good book.
