This isn’t your average run of the mill, mundane, steamy, erotic romance. Quite the opposite, it immediately intrigues. The author has paired a handsome half Italian half Somalian asylum seeker with an English girl of straightened means, who both have their reasons for embarking on a relationship that is conducted in a village on the shores of lovely Lake Garda. Unexpected developments, desperation, secrets and lies threaten the course of true love and you’re on tenterhooks wondering if they’ll make it through. In fact, just when you think they’ve reached the sunlit uplands, another spanner is thrown into the works. The author has an engaging style and can really tell a story that draws you in. Sometimes she pits you against the hero then against the heroine and secondary characters seem like real people but don’t detract from the main ones. This book contains some unusual incidents, is really imaginative, well written and made all the more readable by the way the author handles the issues troubling the hero and heroine. BUY
