She inhaled a deep breath. Time to put it on the table. “I’m actually kind of boring.”

Jason arched a brow. “I don’t believe you.”

“Really? What if I told you I like to curl up on the couch and watch movies, or read a book?”

A seductive grin spread across his lips, and he leaned a little closer. “I’d say watching a movie with someone can be fun. Especially if said someone is as beautiful as you are.” He leaned back. “And reading is a good pastime.”

Her blood heated at the thought of snuggling with him under a blanket. Would he skim his hand along her leg and squeeze her thigh, or would he be more subtle in his touches? Maybe a mock stretch, bringing his arm around her shoulders?

“What movies do you like to watch, Susan?”

Her name on his lips was like a caress against her skin. She shivered with awareness and wiggled in her seat slightly. “I like all types.”

He moved toward her, his warm breath gliding along the sensitive skin of her neck. “But what is your favorite?”

Her lids lowered to half-mast, and she contemplated an answer. Would he think her a big nerd if she answered truthfully? Trying to think or care at all had become hard with him inching closer. Should she be freaked out? Things were moving a little fast. But she liked him close. A strange sense of awareness flooded her veins. Yes, she definitely liked him close. Attraction sizzled between them. Sensual nerve impulses danced across her skin, causing a tingling sensation.

What had he even asked?

“Drama? Comedy? Maybe even horror?”

Yes. That was it. He wanted to know her favorite type of movie. “To be honest, I like movies with a medieval theme.”

“Ah. She wants to be the princess who’s rescued from the tower.”
