TOP PICK, 5 STARS "Wow! I was amazed by Celeste Prater’s erotic romantic suspense Leo, which is the first book in the Three Divisions series. Alpha male, Leo is stunning in his role. Readers will be amazed and want him too. Remember, a Dominatrix (Dom) doesn't like demands, or prepare for punishment. Read how Leo punishes and rewards Jillian. Readers should be prepared for a spicy read with drama, suspense, action, and danger. This may be a long read, but it was worth it. Spicy! Lawyer Jillian Dosh has a vanilla life that is due for a makeover. She enters a sensuous journey by getting a front row seat understanding the three divisions of BDSM. Sexy, alpha male, Leo Straton is a man of many talents that go beyond the bedroom. Leo's Dom techniques leave Jillian panting for more. He patiently gains her trust, frees her, and empowers her sexuality. Secrets and lies have a way of resurfacing. Leo has enemies, and they may collide with Jillian." -- DebA, Night Owl Reviews
5 STARS "Three Divisions: Leo by Celeste Prater is the story of two people who need a little saving, even though both of them don’t know it yet. Jillian Dosh is an attorney who hasn’t had a relationship for quite some time. She just hasn’t met someone who rings her bells and makes her feel butterflies in her stomach… well she has, sort of. There is someone at her gym that does it for her. Imagine her surprise when she finds him at the Three Divisions Lifestyle Emporium. He fascinates her, but there is something about him that scares her as well. Leo is not one to trifle with newbies. Nevertheless, there is something about Jillian that calls to him. He is a Dom and he needs a Submissive, but Jillian is a little too innocent. Can she give his lifestyle a chance? Can she find a way to give him a chance? I will be honest here, I am not a big fan of BDSM, and there is something about it that makes me cringe every time I hear this word. Many perfectly great dominant male leads have been destroyed by the Dominant moniker. It was refreshing to read about a Dom/Sub relationship that was not abusive. A good read overall." -- Rabia Tanveer, Readers' Favorite Book Reviews
5 FANGS "Leo is my first book by Celeste Prater – but I will definitely be adding her to my author’s to watch list. In this wonderful little novel Ms. Prater introduces you gently to the BDSM lifestyle. It’s not the main focus it’s just the way Leo plays. It’s not the dark and dirty BDSM it’s more about the give and take of control. Ms. Prater’s plot lines are smooth and keep the story running smoothly and as a reader it will keep you involved and walking down the road with Leo and Jillian. Jillian is an attorney so she is a strong capable woman, who hasn’t had a relationship in awhile. She has been eyeing the man candy at the gym and can’t get enough of Leo. Leo, well he is a bit of mystery and he is hiding something – but he sees something in Jillian that he is instantly attracted to. Jillian doesn’t know it yet but Leo sees the side of her that Jillian isn’t fully aware of, she is a submissive and the Dom in Leo wants her for his own. Leo gently introduces Jillian to the lifestyle, it’s dealt with nicely – this really isn’t a dark brooding BDSM. She dealt with it wonderfully and realistically, not taking away from the plot line. Then you add the mystery that is the back story – Jillian’s client is a bat crap crazy and Leo is up to something you just don’t know what. Then add Jillian’s witch of a mother and the story will keep you turning pages, trying to figure out what the heck will happen next. This one has it all – steam, some danger, a girl that needs a hero (even if she doesn’t know it), and a hero that needs some saving of his own. If you are looking for a well rounded hot one this one is definitely worth your time. I hope that there are books coming about Leo’s friends the few times we meet them they sure seem like they have something to say as well." -- brriske, Romance Authors that Rock
5 LOVE TAPS "What can you say about an author that has been one of your favorites for sometime now. There has never been a book of hers that I’ve not liked. Mostly she has stuck to the Sci-fi alien theme, which has so worked for her. Now this ~Three Divisions~ a contempory/BDSM themed story and a new adventure for Celeste that I think she nailed. If you don’t have hands on experience in the lifestyle, write it like you do (smiles). Story line is smooth and active, long book but well worth the reading. I simply loved Jillian watching her grow was amazing not only with those around her but herself, there was a time or two she tried to walk the curvy road but she found her way back to the road she needed to walk. Leo as well, I loved his confidence as well as his patience. He took small steps into introducing a newbie into the life style. A firm hand but a loving caress, the BDSM scenes were mild granted but I think well written, mention what is good for some may not be ideal for others, soft/hard limits and safe words. The biggest is how he kept checking on how she was doing. The air of mystery in both Jillan’s client and Leo’s job, situations that can’t be talked about and we both know how that can be in a relationship. Meeting Jillian's mom brings me to my favorite saying: too bad we cant choose our parents. A bit of danger, a damsel in distress, some word fudging and half truths. All makes for a pretty awesome read and I’m glad that I was given the chance to read Celeste’s newest adventure. I recommended whole heartedly. Enjoy" -- Daria, We Love Kink
“Oh, that’s not good.”
Jillian cringed at the sensation of her silk shirt snagging against unforgiving brick, instantly wondering how shredded the back would look once she got enough nerve to push away from the wall. Glancing over at her car parked along the curb, she fought the need to run back over, leap inside, and listen to the tires squealing a quick getaway. The ballsy side of her Gemini nature finally rose up and assisted in its usual chastising tone.
“Get a grip, dumbass. It’s the fear of the unknown, that’s all. In ten minutes, you’ll be experienced and wondering why you were nervous in the first place. You’ve been in worse spots.”
Huffing out a hard breath, she quickly slid around the corner, hunkered against the glass window front, and immediately startled at the image lining up perfectly with her right shoulder. Wide green eyes, pale skin, and reddish-gold hair swirling in the breeze made her realize how silly she was becoming. Spooking at your own damn reflection now? Brilliant! I knew they should’ve sent someone else to handle this.
Straightening her spine, she took a deep breath and forced her legs to get with the program, fervently wishing she’d at least covered her hair—maybe slipped on a pair of dark glasses, or even worn a trench coat. The last thing she needed was to be recognized or remembered. Screw it. Too late now. Just get in, get out, and go home.
Hurrying along the walkway, eyes glued to the window, Jillian finally discovered a ten-inch gap between advertisement posters. Cupping her hands against the surprisingly clean glass, she peered inside, stood on tiptoe to see past the shelving, and immediately spotted two men. A quick assessment told her that the one with the gray hair and wrinkled business suit wasn’t a local. The brown leather suitcase leaning innocently against his right leg still carried the airline terminal tag.
Jillian couldn’t help but snort when she glanced at the other one. He was a little younger, wore a wedding ring, and still clung to his glory days as life pulled him kicking and screaming into his forties. The severely faded and tattered USC T-shirt had seen better days. She wondered how many times his wife had thrown it in the garbage, only to find it among the laundry items the very next day. That could very well explain the small Band-Aid on his left ear. She darted out of sight when the men’s profiles made an appearance.
Glancing down the relatively deserted street, Jillian was surprised to find that the fading sun had finally decided to hide itself, instantly bringing deep shadows to stretch ominously between each dim streetlight—a clear warning sign for the smart people to get their butts home. Only a few businesses across the roadway had yet to turn their exterior lights on, making the surroundings even spookier. She knew she needed to get this over with before the night dwellers burst out from wherever they hid during the harshness of the day and began filling the walkways.
Pushing quickly inside her targeted establishment, Jillian cringed upon hearing the tinkling of bells over the doorway. She reached up and silenced them before they could finish waking up the dead. Crap! Didn’t see that coming.
Dodging to the side of a tall metal structure, Jillian chanced a quick peek past the edge to see if she’d been discovered or if any other bodies were milling about the interior. Satisfied she only had the two oblivious browsers to contend with, Jillian slithered around several displays and two more short cabinets before she was ensconced behind a thick bookshelf with ample space between shelves to peek out.
Bravery growing by the second, she moved on silent feet along the narrow aisle, eyes locked onto the two men continuing to keep a respectable distance from one another. She quirked a brow. You both might as well have bull’s-eyes tattooed on your backs. Not once had they made eye contact, much less taken the time to glance over their shoulders to spot her lurking close at their rear.
Jillian couldn’t help but shake her head as she slid her hand out of her purse, cupped it with the other, and rested her grip on the smooth wood to steady her arms. Maneuvering the red laser dot from one skull base to the next, she considered her targets the proverbial “innocent bystanders” mentioned in every news article about the increasing murder rate in this crazy town. They were oblivious to their surroundings, content in the false knowledge that nothing bad would ever happen to them. Things like that only occurred to other people—a typical last thought of hapless victims.
Oh, well. Reality time.
Her breath hitched, and she moaned as soon as he palmed a generous breast, lightly squeezed the beaded nipple, and gave the other the same treatment. Unhurried, he stroked the softness of her silky skin, the curve of her ribcage, her lovely, rounded belly, and the smooth length of a trembling thigh before settling his hand above her mound. Leo bent closer, eyes intense and searching hers.
“Open those gorgeous legs for me.” She parted them a few inches, and he lowered his voice to a rumbling timbre.
“Wider. I want what’s mine.”
When she complied and spread them open, Leo could feel her belly shaking in anticipation of his next move. Gently, he pulled her leg over his hip so he could have greater access.
“Good girl, that’s what I want to see.” Leo purposefully took his time sliding a finger down the thin strip of reddish-gold pubic hair gracing her sweet little pussy.
“This is very pretty, Jillian. However, the next time that I ask to view your body, it should be gone. I want you to feel every sensation, and this just gets in my way. Do you understand?”
He shook his head slowly from side to side.
“No, I want to hear it. No more nodding. I may not always have my eyes on your face. So, tell me, Jillian. Did you understand what I want you to do?”
“What is it?” She blinked a few times, voice halting.
“To shave my hair?”
She opened her mouth to respond, and he glided his finger over her swollen clit, rubbing in a hard circle. Her back immediately arched, and she released a soft sigh.
He stopped, moved his hand over her belly, and pressed down. She dropped back to the bed and whimpered. This time, he barely grazed by her clit and sought out the slick juices at her opening.
“Ah, you’re so wet, Jillian.” He stroked the swollen, pink lips until he heard her breath increase. “Your beautiful pussy is flowering for me, and I’ve only just begun my exploration.”
Leo glanced up. Her eyes were closed, a blissful expression radiating across her stunning face. God, he loved watching her passion rising to the surface. The other men who had been lucky enough to stumble into her life were complete morons. It didn’t take much to excavate her hidden passion. She’d be explosive once he unleashed himself upon her. He silently thanked them for their stupidity.
The second he captured her distended clit and rolled it gently between his thumb and index finger, her back arched high again. This time he felt her fingers latch onto his hair. He immediately halted.
“Arms up and grasp the headboard, Jillian. Keep them there or this all stops. Don’t touch me unless I give you permission to do so.” He’d barely gotten out the last word and she was gripping the wood tightly. He smiled.
Repeatedly, Leo put her through the paces of learning his expectations. Silent withdrawal of pleasure for her inability to keep her hips still and reward for gradually controlling her responses. Thirty minutes had passed and she was panting as if someone was pounding hard inside of her with a stiff cock, yet her hips stayed still as his finger worked slowly in and out of her fluttering, sopping wet channel. He increased the pressure of his thumb caressing her tender nub—just enough to keep her on the edge, yet not enough to shove her over the side. He’d easily found her sweet spot and was seeing how much she could take before she wiggled again. Even with a second and third finger inserted, she held her ground. She wanted to come and knew he’d deny her if she failed.
Leo felt the success of his training flowing through his body like a warm caress. He felt lightheaded and ecstatic that she was responding so easily to his commands and actions at such an early stage. Catching himself before he lost his head and attempted to bring her into a full-blown scene, Leo took her toward the relief she sought.
Increasing the strokes to her clit, Leo leaned in and whispered into her ear, “Oh, yes. Now, you’re being very, very good. That’s what I wanted.” Pushing his palm tight over her clit and curling the fingers inside her fiery channel, Leo relentlessly pressed and rubbed on her G-spot. He crooned to her, insisting that she knock the walls down that had held her prisoner for too long.
“Close your eyes. Think of nothing else but the pleasure. Let the warmth grow until it consumes you. That’s it, baby. Take what you need. You’re so wet. I’m going to free you now. Listen closely.”
