Kam’s parents’ assisted suicide while on a spaceship leaves her and her siblings shell-shocked. It doesn’t make any sense because they’re only 65 and healthy. Kam decides the act needs looking into, but the FBI is uninterested, so she investigates on her own.

Disguised as an old woman, Kam goes undercover and books a one-year cruise. She has no idea what she will uncover during her private mission. Neither does she expect to meet the love of her life in the guise of a blue alien…

The door opened, and a tall, fully white-clad figure came in. “Hello. I’m Zorabo, your nurse. Please take off all your clothes,” a male voice said in English.

Why would she need to take off her clothes for the procedure? “No. I can’t. I need to tell you that I’m not—”

“Then we will do it for you if you are unable to comply. The male touched his collar and spoke in a foreign language. In seconds, another white-clad figure entered, also very tall.

“No, you don’t understand. I’m not here to—”

Without a word, ignoring her struggles and protests, they began to take off her shoes and very thick stockings, all her clothes, then stopped abruptly after they removed her old lady body garment. It exposed the bottom of her face mask, and she stood stark naked. One of them yanked the face mask off with a single swipe, revealing her face. The wig fell to the floor, and her long ash-blonde hair tumbled down her back.

They stepped back to look at her. “This woman is not old,” one of them said. “Who are you? Why are you disguised as an old woman?”

“I’ll speak to no one except your superior,” she snapped.

“Go and fetch Doctor Oclavus,” the nurse told the other one, who quickly left the room.

The one who had spoken turned to her. “Get up on the gurney.”

“No. I’m too young for this. I’m not here to commit assisted suicide.”

“I presume you’re not. Nevertheless, get up on the gurney.”

When she didn’t comply, he promptly lifted her as if she were nothing but a feather and planted her on the gurney. She fought him using all her training, but it didn’t help. He held her wrists with one strong hand, then stretched the other arm out, and within a second, a white cuff snapped in place, holding her arm down tight. He did the same with the other arm, then her legs. Kicking didn’t help. The guy was super strong. A wide strap snapped across her waist. She was thoroughly secured in place. Her head was last. A band slid into place over her forehead. She couldn’t move at all.

Damn, now what? Surely, they wouldn’t kill me anyway? “Look, you need to stop this. I’m not here for the procedure. I want to talk to your superior. Take these restraints off, please?”

The door opened, and a man wearing a white bodysuit and a kind of lab coat came in. His head wasn’t covered. He wasn’t an Earthling, evident by the blue skin of his face and the blue of his tied-back long hair with yellowy blond streaks.

He stood next to the gurney, gazing down at her. “Who are you? The records indicate you are sixty-five-year-old Kelly Murphy. But you are far from that advanced age.”

“I should ask you that question. Who are you?” Kam snapped.

“I am Doctor Oclavus, the director of this facility. You managed to disguise yourself and fool everyone. But why? Are you here in an attempt to steal our formula?”

A special suicide formula? What the hell. Fuck, she was in quite a situation. What to do?
