STORY EXCERPT

Francis regarded Alex. Alex’s blue eyes were intent on him as usual. His short blond hair was a tad messy. They had clearly been running around. “I also need to know your plan. It has to be feasible so we can bring Duke back as soon as possible.”

With a nod, Alex glanced at Oscar. “Like I said, I contacted my lawyer. I have that power over Duke because he agreed to it when we got the legal immunity.”

“How did you get it, and who gave it to you?” Francis asked.

“I can’t tell you,” Alex answered. “What I can say is that it’s related to my work. As for the plan, it’s going to take a while, so we should have a sit-down.”

Francis stood. “I haven’t eaten in a while. We can talk over dinner.”

“Aren’t you going home?” Oscar asked as they made their way out.

That was a type of question Francis didn’t like answering. “There’s still work to do. My daughter is at her mother’s if that’s what you’re asking.”

Oscar let out a laugh. “Don’t be so tense. Let’s be optimistic, all right?”

“I’m trying,” Francis said. With his job on the line, there wasn’t much he could be optimistic about. He led the way across the street to the usual restaurant. Alex walked next to him. He couldn’t get used to how tall Alex was. Oscar was a tad shorter than him, and that was already a big difference in comparison. Francis glanced at Alex. His forehead reached Alex’s chest. To be fair, Alex had long legs.

“Hey, Francis. Here for the usual?” the waiter asked when he saw Francis. “Oh, you brought company this time.”

Francis smiled. “Yes. A table for three, if you don’t mind.” He couldn’t help but expect Alex had a good plan. Duke was out there, and something told him Duke wasn’t sitting around doing nothing.

The silence didn’t sit well with him. Alex kept stealing glances his way. “So, what’s your plan?” he asked Alex. He found it hard to believe that Alex would change his mind this quickly. It had seemed he’d been losing his patience with his younger brother, but it had seemed rushed. Anything could happen.

“Aside from Duke’s bank accounts, I already told our father about it. He must’ve called Duke by now, so it’s only a matter of time until Duke calls me,” Alex said. “We always try not to bother our father, but if it happens, there’s no guessing what he’ll do.”

Francis looked at Oscar and couldn’t read his expression. Oscar’s face revealed a mixture of scowling and detachment from the conversation. “Wait a second, Alex. Oscar, what’s wrong?”

“Just got reminded of Shadow’s father. He’s not a good guy,” Oscar answered.

When Francis switched his attention back to Alex next to him, he noticed Alex’s gaze. “What?” Francis asked quietly. He hadn’t gotten such a look from Alex before.

“Nothing,” Alex said. Before he could continue, the waiter approached their table.

After picking their food and drinks, silence fell between them again. Francis peered at Alex, whose attention wandered. Oscar answered a call when his cell phone vibrated on the table. Francis tightened his lips as Oscar excused himself and made his way to the exit. “So…why did you look at me like that?” Francis asked.

Alex hummed. “Only a reaction to you asking me to wait while you give Oscar attention.”

Francis raised a brow. “And you want my attention?” he asked with a laugh but stopped when Alex nodded. “You’ve been texting me for weeks ever since we met, and it never seemed to me like you were serious.”

“Because I’m not a serious individual. Are you saying you would take my feelings seriously if I told you I’m serious?” Alex asked.

While Oscar made his way back to their table, Francis regarded Alex. “I’ll answer after dinner,” he said, and Alex nodded.

ADULT EXCERPT

Francis tilted his ass toward Alex’s finger, making it thrust deeper. His breathing picked up as Alex thrust further in. Francis closed his eyes as he relaxed even more on top of Alex. When he turned his head to the side, he didn’t expect to hear Alex’s calm heartbeat. To him, it didn’t sound right, especially if Alex was supposed to like him. That made him wonder if it was related to him being a werewolf.

Alex thrust a second finger into Francis’s ass and spread it open. Francis’s breath got caught in his throat. “I’m busy right now. I’ll meet you at your house tomorrow morning at nine, so we can talk about this,” Alex said. “Yes, I know they took away all the artwork and pieces you had in your basement. What did you expect? Either way, be there without fail. Don’t make me chase you again.”

Finally, the call ended. Francis looked up, seeing Alex upside down. “I’m coming with you tomorrow.”

“For a second there, I thought you were about to say something else,” Alex said with a grin. “All right, you can come.”

Francis raised a brow and clenched his jaw so he wouldn’t let out a laugh. He liked dirty jokes, but he rarely had the chance to hear any. He moved away and reached for his cell phone. “I think I should prepare the report now. It has to be sent in the morning as well.”

Alex held Francis’s hips and sat him against his crotch. Francis stumbled over, just like before. Alex didn’t seem fully aware of how strong he was. “I check documents on a daily basis. I’ll help you later,” Alex said.

“It’ll be quick. I can just read it over and send it tonight. Otherwise, I can’t get it out of my mind,” Francis said and heard Alex unzipping his pants. “Your heartbeat was normal just now. Doesn’t seem like you’re in a hurry to do this.”

“It takes a lot to get my heart racing, but that doesn’t mean I don’t feel everything,” Alex said as he put on the condom. “You can go on ahead, then. But you can’t get dressed. This has to be fair, after all.”

Francis tilted his head. “Fair?” he uttered, and Alex nodded. He stood awkwardly and put his shirt around his hips. While he made his way to his office, Alex followed him. He inhaled hard when Alex suddenly picked him up from behind, his strong arms around Francis’s torso. “What are you doing?”

“Helping you,” Alex said. He paced into the office and placed Francis down behind the desk. “Do what you have to do.”

Opening his laptop, Francis got to the folder where the report was. He froze in place when Alex untied the shirt around his hips. Francis focused on the report and began to revise it. His need to send it was overpowering him, especially since his job was at stake. Even if he could wake up earlier in the morning, he wouldn’t be able to sleep well at night knowing he had other things to do so early. Yet, at the same time, he desired Alex to bend him over and fuck him.

Alex rested his jaw on the side of Francis’s head and held Francis’s hip. With his other hand, he guided his hard prick against Francis’s hole. Alex pressed the tip in a gentle motion and pushed in. “Can you still focus, or are you enjoying this little game we have going?”

“Of course, I can,” Francis said, his heart pounding. He’d never looked over a report this quickly in his life. He tilted his ass up as Alex thrust his cock deeper by the moment. His mouth fell open, and he supported some of his weight with his hands on the desk. He looked over when he heard Alex pulling the desk chair. Alex sat on it and pulled Francis along. Once again, Francis stumbled onto him.

“Damn it,” Alex said under his breath when Francis got filled to the brim with his prick.

Francis nibbled his bottom lip as he breathed hard. He almost came right then and there. Shaking himself back to reality, he looked at the report. “I’ll be quick.”

“Me, too,” Alex said and held Francis in place. He thrust his hips upward into Francis’s twitching hole.

Melting with pleasure, Francis couldn’t help but move his hips against Alex’s sensual motions. Even if he tried to keep his mouth shut so he wouldn’t let out any sounds, the way Alex’s cock rubbed his insides became overwhelming. He leaned back, and Alex held the back of his thighs, keeping Francis up.

Alex kissed Francis’s shoulder. “Finally. We’ve been at this since shortly after I got here. You’re too obsessed with work.”
