Excerpt

At a slow amble, Blue wandered through to the fields at the foot of the hillside. Several haystacks were dotted around the fields, and the sheep settled to eat as Blue made himself a comfortable nest against one of the haystacks.

Blue had scarcely finished creating the place from where he could occasionally sit and watch the sheep when he heard a familiar voice call out.

“Blue! Hallo!” The shout instantly roused Blue, who almost tripped over his own feet in his haste and he ran waving toward Tom.

“Tom, hello.” Blue called out as Tom drew near. The moment Blue reached Tom, he was enveloped in a tight embrace. With a sigh of contentment, Blue moulded his body against his lover’s, revelling in Tom’s possessive grip.

Tom kept one hand at the small of Blue’s back and slid his other hand to the base of Blue’s skull. With a sigh, Blue allowed his head to be tilted before Tom’s lips covered Blue’s own.

As the kiss deepened, Blue opened his mouth and welcomed Tom’s questing tongue. Blue chased the slick organ back into Tom’s mouth, groaning and writhing as Tom slid his hand from Blue’s back down to his arse, squeezing each cheek in turn.

“Morning, my beautiful Blue.”

Blue sighed again as Tom kissed along his throat, ending with a nip on Blue’s chin.

“Morning, Tom. Can you stay a while before market?” Blue tried not to sound too needy. But once Tom left for market, it would be hours before Blue would see him again.

“A little while, Blue.” Tom smiled softly, and Blue angled his face so that Tom could run his knuckles along Blue’s cheek. “I’m helping Simon with his pies, as well as father with his stall.”

“You’ll be exhausted.” Blue shook his head. “You’re doing too much.”

“The more I do now, the sooner we’ll have enough money to buy our own home, and we can marry, my beautiful Blue. I don’t mind working hard when my dream is so close to reality.”

“Come and sit with me for a few minutes.” Blue tugged an unresisting Tom toward the haystack.

Those sheep that had wandered some distance away, ambled closer once more, and Blue smiled. Now all his charges were on the near side of the haystack, and safe while he was likely to be a little distracted.

As he and Tom settled on the straw, Tom covered Blue’s body with his own and Blue relished his lover’s solid weight. When Tom’s lips pressed against his, Blue opened to his lover, letting Tom take control.

A soft whimper escaped Blue as Tom kissed along his jaw, and down this throat. Tom slid a hand under Blue’s shirt and Blue writhed as Tom thumbed his nipples, then tugged at each hard nub.

When Tom shoved his shirt up, and sucked on one of Blue nipples, Blue bucked helplessly. Tom undid him so easily. The hot mouth moved to his other nipple, before Tom rained kisses down Blue’s belly.
