"Who are you really?"

Clement seemed to be astounded by the question. "What do you mean?"

Kyle gestured at the car, along with the chocolates and flowers in his hands, when he felt the vehicle started to pull out from the parking lot. "What kind of business are you involved in?"

"Kyle, I --"

"You're not a mob boss, are you?"

Clement appeared stunned for a moment before he burst out laughing. "No, I'm not."

Kyle heaved out a sigh of relief. "I like you a lot. I'm sure I can learn to adapt if you truly are a mob boss or somehow tangled up in shady businesses, but I'm glad I won't have to. I don't think I can live in peace with a criminal."

Clement guffawed even louder. "No, Kyle. I give you my word I'm not a mob boss."

"Okay. It's just ... you have a lot of wealth. I'm not used to it."

"Will that be a deal breaker?"

Kyle shook his head. "I like you because you're sweet. Wealthy or not, it doesn't matter to me. I really enjoy spending time with you. You've been kind and lovely to me. I appreciate you."

"That's great because I absolutely adore you."

Kyle nodded. "I think I can fall in love with you someday."

Clement mock pouted. "You mean you're not in love with me right now?"

Kyle snorted. "I'm attracted to you, but love may take a little bit of time to grow."

"Is there any way for me to speed things up?"

"One."

"What's that?"

Kyle winked at Clement. "Turn into a prince charming from a fairy tale."

Clement's eyes widened for a brief moment before the expression disappeared. "You never know. Maybe I'm a prince from a magical story."

Kyle rolled his eyes. "Yeah. Right. I must be the beautiful princess or the damsel in distress then."

"You never know," Clement repeated. "Your dream may just come true."

"Ha! Whatever. Anyway, where are we going for dinner?"

"Whisperwind."

"What?"

"Whisper --"

"Are you serious right now?"

Clement had an amused expression on his face. "Yes, Kyle. Why?"

Kyle pointed an index finger between himself and Clement. "You're wearing a silk button-down shirt, slacks, a nice blazer, and leather shoes. I'm in an old shirt, pants, and sneakers. Damn it, Clement. The server will throw me out. Whisperwind is one of the most expensive restaurants in the world."

"You're fine. Stop worrying, please. I promise we will have a fantastic date."

Kyle hesitated because he wasn't as confident as Clement. He knew Whisperwind had a dress code. He had checked out the restaurant online once. It was a place he thought he would never get the chance to visit ever for the rest of his life. According to the data online, the cheapest meal in that restaurant would cost around four thousand dollars per person, and that was before he factored in the price of a bottle of wine. Even the price of a bottle of water in that restaurant was apparently four hundred dollars. In the end, he simply glared at Clement.

"If we get kicked out from the restaurant for violating its dress code, I'll blame it all on you."

Clement grinned. "Okay, babe."

Kyle narrowed his eyes at Clement. "Don't try to sweet talk your way out of this. I'm a little pissed off at you."

Clement chuckled before tugging Kyle's head down to rest on his shoulder. "We will be fine. I promise."

Kyle felt his resistance melting away, so he responded with a grudging tone of voice. "Okay. I trust you."

He had no idea how much time passed by. The next thing he knew, he heard a soft beep from somewhere inside the car. Then he gaped a little when Clement picked up a phone from a hidden spot on the side of the seat.

"We're here? Okay. Thank you," Clement said before replacing the phone back to its previous position and turning toward Kyle. "It's dinner time."
