Angie Cross isn't particular about her bed partners. Male or female, it's all the same to her. But she has a hidden desire, a fantasy she's kept deep inside for years -- a longing to be with two men at once.

One afternoon, Angie meets Charlie Dulcet, a man who somehow guesses her secret. Uncertain but still curious, Angie agrees to a date, and Charlie takes her home to meet his boyfriend, Justin. Both men offer Angie the experience of a lifetime: a chance to be loved by two men in any way she chooses. It's what she's always wanted, but the reality scares her, and she runs away.

Undeterred, Charlie and Justin pursue Angie and show her there's nothing wrong with her desires. Now, all Angie has to do is agree to be the girl in the middle. The choice is up to her.

“Drink?” he asked, pulling the ornate silver tray on the glass table before me toward the edge. It had water, a bottle of gin whose label I didn’t recognize, along with a bucket of ice, some excellent crystal glasses, and a few other items.

“Gin and tonic, please.” I needed something strong to get me through whatever it was that was happening right now. It was like an episode of The Twilight Zone. With sexy bits thrown in.

“You got it.” Charlie made my drink and handed it to me. “Here you go, hon.” I took it from him and drank a few sips. He’d made it just the way I liked it.

I leaned back against the couch, calmly arranged my fancy dress around my legs, and looked at the two men who stood before me, side by side.

“Mind explaining the question you asked me just now?” I asked, twirling the liquid in my glass in an effort to appear cool and unaffected. I hoped the movement masked my trembling fingers.

“Forgive me,” Justin said. “I didn’t mean to startle you. Charlie and I, we don’t do this often anymore, but every once in a while, we stumble upon someone who seems amenable to participating in a ménage.”

“But,” I interrupted, “how did you...what was it about me that made you think I would even be interested in something like this?” Just because I was interested, didn’t mean I was ready to admit to such a thing. Out loud.

Charlie jumped in. “It was your reaction when I asked you out on a date. You’d assumed I was gay or bi, and I could almost hear the fantasies running around in your head, though you tried hard to hide them. You were taken aback, and instantly on the defensive when I called you out on the state of your underwear. Admit it, Angie. The idea of being with two men turns you on.”

Could I admit it? It would make me more vulnerable than I had ever been in my life. It was well and good that I wished for an experience like this, but did I have the guts to actually do it, for real? Or was I a fraud? Was this that “something” that had been missing from my past relationships? I was so confused.

Suddenly, I felt the couch dip and realized that Justin and Charlie had seated themselves beside me, making me the girl in the middle.

“I know this is a little frightening for you,” Charlie said, pushing some of my shoulder-length blond hair behind my ear. “Your deepest desires are on display and it’s uncomfortable. But we won’t rush you, or ask you to do anything you don’t want to. If this is truly not your thing, then we understand completely. Right, Justin?”

I felt a warm hand on my leg and looked over at Charlie’s boyfriend. “Absolutely,” Justin replied. “Hell, if it would make you feel better, you can just watch us tonight. We love an audience when we’re making love, and we’d be honored to have you as our voyeur.”

I sipped more of my drink, the alcohol already affecting my decision-making abilities, and weakening my resolve. “I don’t know ...”

“Come with us to the bedroom,” Charlie urged. Then Justin leaned in and murmured into my ear, “There’s a chair in the corner. You can see everything from there, promise.” His lips were soft on my cheek, and my thighs trembled.
