Cheryl Dragon

Average Rating:

A lover of unusual things, Cheryl Dragon enjoys writing unique stories filled with sinfully hot erotic romance. Her favorite settings include Las Vegas, New Orleans, and the Emerald Triangle... where anything can happen! Cheryl lives in the Chicagoland area with her deaf albino cat. She writes constantly but takes the occasional break for wine, chocolate, friends, and writing conferences.

Q: What is your favorite genre to write?

A: That’s a tie between ménage and light BDSM! Sometimes I combine them for extra fun. :)

Q: Are you on Twitter?

A: Yes! Follow me here: https://twitter.com/cheryldragon

Q: Do you write one story at a time or jump around?

A: I draft one story at a time. However, I will work on other books in different phases. For example, if I get edits for a book, those need to get done. Also if I come up with a great idea for a new story, I’ll make notes.

Q: What is your favorite wine?

A: I’m a sucker for a good Riesling!

Q: What is your writing day like?

A: I wake up around 6:00 a.m. and get coffee (hazelnut for cup one and caramel for the second cup)! Then I check my emails for anything interesting and/or urgent while the morning news/weather is on TV. Next up I shower and get ready.

Writing full time means I can jump into whatever I need to that day. I try to write 5k a day if I’m strictly writing. Some days there are edits, blurbs, forms, and contracts involved. I try to group stuff so I have writing days and other stuff days.

I break for lunch at 1:00 p.m. and enjoy Days of Our Lives. After that I grab the mail and, assuming I’ve completed my 5k, will do some chores or keep on writing to get ahead. I’m a morning person so by dinner time my creative brain is tired. Facebook/Twitter/Email/Promo checks make the evening fun.

Q: Can readers find you on Facebook?

A: Absolutely! https://www.facebook.com/cheryldragon

Q: Do you listen to music while writing?

A: No, music actually distracts me. Most days I have the TV on in the background as white noise.

Q: Are you a plotter or a pantser?

A: Plotter…I need a basic roadmap so I don’t get stuck. I keep the outline basic so I’m flexible if the muse surprises me.

Q: What do you do to unwind?

A: I love TV! My DVR is always full so when I need a break, I can catch up on my favorite shows. (Like Mike & Molly, The Big Bang Theory, Raising Hope, Leverage, Bones, and Downton Abbey.)
