I'm an addict for books. I love to read. Trust me when I say you don't want to be around when I'm reading a series. I forget to eat, forget to feed the kids, forget doctor's appointments...It can get ugly.
I live in Georgia with my two extremely cool sons. They are not as addicted to reading but they are not too far behind. They both are writers as well. They rubbed off on me.
In all seriousness, it started off as a simple email to one of my favorite authors. I was instantly hooked on this vampire series and emailed the author, kindly demanding to know when the next book would be coming out. She emailed me back and told me I would have to hold on until next year. So the next email I sent, I teased that I guess I'd better start drawing my own conclusions and writing my own version to keep me busy until then. She told me that would be an interesting idea.
The next morning it was as if a flood gate was opened. Story ideas bombarded me until I started writing them down. It's been a non-stop fun journey every since.
Thanks to the love I receive from my two very, very patient sons, my awesome brother and my wonderful mother I have been able to write to my heart’s content. I love them, and I love what I do!

Q: Siren is publishing your first book. How does this make you feel?
A: I’m so excited! When I opened the email at 6 a.m. I screamed and woke everyone up.
Q: Do you create a playlist for your hero/heroine?
A: No, I don’t create a playlist, but I will play music suited for a certain scene while I’m writing.
Q: What’s your favorite classic book or movie?
A: I have 2 favorites. ‘A Charlie Brown Christmas.’ I love the song ‘Christmas Time Is Here’. My other favorite is ‘The Sound Of Music.’ Years ago, I bought the box VHS set which included a soundtrack. I later upgraded to the DVD version.
Q: When did you get the writing bug?
A: I wish I could say that I’ve been writing for years and years, but I haven’t. I love to read, but I’ve only been writing for a little over a year.
Q: Do you have a difficult time finding story ideas?
A: Not at the moment. Any and everything I see or hear could inspire a story.
Q: While writing, what’s the one thing you must have with you?
A: My headphones. There are times I really need to drown out the background noise.
Q: If you could be eating your favorite dessert in any city in the world, what and where would it be?
A: My favorite dessert is Lemon Cream Cake. I’d love to eat it while straddling a fence watching hot cowboys hard at work in each and every city they occupy. There was no way I could narrow that one down.
Q: What do you do when you’re not writing?
A: I have two sons that occupy a large portion of my time. When I’m not hanging with them, I busy procrastinating about writing.
