Average Rating:

Serena Akeroyd is a romanceaholic. She won’t touch a book unless she knows there’s a happy ever after at the end of it. Pathetic as it may be, because of this addiction, Serena decided to craft her own tales, stories that suit her voracious need for sexy romance. After all, a love story ain’t a lurve story without a bit of naughty!

A citizen of the world, Serena is a nomad at heart, and her novels enable her to travel the globe and all behind her computer desk. Naturally, she’d prefer the option of a private jet, but still, if wishes were horses, eh?

Always feel free to connect with Serena, she’d love to chat with her readers, as well as fellow romance addicts!

Q: What kind of sexy reads do you dig?

A: Oof, I dig so many different kinds of sexy reads, there are too many to count. As long as there’s love at the end of it, then it’s my type of my book. From bisexual vampires to gang-bang extravaganzas, I love it and absorb it all so long as they say “I love you” at the end. ;)

Q: Tell us something random about yourself.

A: I can’t drive. I keep failing my test, and not being able to drive, is literally driving me around the bend!

Q: What’s the best part about being a writer?

A: Without doubt, getting to work from home. I’m a bit of a hermit, and I love being at home, so writing is perfect for me. Also, on a daily basis, I’m bombarded with different plot ideas. Not being able to write them down would just drive me even nuttier than I already am.

Q: Do you only write erotica?

A: For now, yup. I love erotica. I love exploring sex, love how sex is a key to building a great relationship. Kink is cool, but I’m more into the ménage version of kink. I lurve writing and reading threesomes. Some peeps are so mind-blown by ménages. To them, it’s like the whole Men from Mars, Women from Venus thing. Just with two guys. But to me, it’s why not? There’s so much going on in the world, so much hate, why not big up the love? What else matters but that?

Q: What’s the best part of your writing day?

A: When I can log off my computer, take my wrists for a rest, and go for a long walk with my dog, Trev. I write anything from three to seven thousand words a day...sometimes just a change of scenery can be so refreshing.

Q: What makes you tick as a writer?

A: My mom. I know, weird, right? Especially as I write erotica, BUT, and there’s a big but here, she hates reading. Seriously loathes it. So, I figured if I could get her to like something I’d written, I’d literally be striking gold.

I’m happy to say my mom still isn’t the biggest fan of reading, but she does like my stories. And in a totally non-mom way. Haha!

Q: What has been the most satisfying part of your writing career so far?

A: When I submitted Ménage Material to Siren, and a few weeks later received the contract, I cried. I actually cried! That was the proudest moment for me. It’s almost like a validation of the standard and quality of my work.

Q: What’s on the cards for you?

A: Oh, plenty! I have about seven different manuscripts on the go at most times. So, I switch between them when I get stuck, or fancy a change of literary scenery. Those seven stories all belong to series of their own. They vary from paranormal to contemporary, rock stars and werewolves, scientists and lawyers...I have so much in the pipeline, it’s almost a joke!

Q: Your books tend to have a twist to them, why is that?

A: Do you know, I don’t know why. Haha, how’s that for an answer? I’m not a fan of Romantic Suspense, to be honest. I love Cop shows, so in comparison to those gritty murders and crime cases, romance novels with a bit of blood thrown into the mix just don’t cut it for me.

In all honesty, I make a conscious effort not to write suspense, but somehow, the twist always appears. There’s always someone blackmailing someone else, or a murder going on that no one else knows about. I can’t help it, the story tells itself, I guess.

Q: Are you on Facebook or Twitter?

A: I’m on most social networks. Please, always feel free to connect with me. I love to chat to people, and on Facebook, on my page, I share lots of weird and wonderful stuff. I like to make people laugh, or provoke opinions. What can I say? I'm a little 'provokerer'!
