“So where did you say this party was?” Andrew asked, scratching his blond head and walking behind Catherine.
“It’s at the house up there,” Catherine said, pointing at a house up on the hill. Although lights were lit along the street, the house appeared to bask in darkness.
“And Nancy is there? Doesn’t look like there’s a party,” Andrew said.
“The party’s in the basement. It’ll start soon.”
“Hey, wait a minute. Isn’t that the haunted Hill house? Why would Nancy have a party there?” Andrew said, seeming suspicious.
Catherine sighed. “How should I know? Ask Nancy when you see her. Unless you’re too chicken to go,” Catherine said and smiled.
Andrew puffed up his chest and responded, “I’m not scared. I just think it’s odd.”
