This was the only book of the series that I really liked. The others were not worth buying to me, but I do know several other readers who enjoyed the other books too.

As hot as you might want a BDSM story to be. Well written.

I haven't read the rest of the books of the series since I actually saw the ad for this one and decided to start the series at the beginning. Because I knew this was a prequel for a latter series of story I didn't expect it to be as fleshed out or to have as much of the relationship that you would expect from the main stories in the series. This was what I expected a quick peak at the past of the characters so that you can see their development in the rest of the series. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading the rest of the books in this series. I think the whole point is to see that Tommy really had no strong relationship except his friendships and how strong that friendship colored his feelings on abuse. Tyler's exploration of his sexuality without fulfilling his need for relationship also molds him and makes him able to comprise for the sake of love.

This novel was written as a response to the readers who had fallen in love with Thomas and Tyler in "Love Slave for Two" and its sequel: "Love Slave For Two: Family Matters." Here is the lives of Thomas and Tyler before they knew each other and the circumstances that eventually brought their lives together. They have been living in a committed relationship for nearly two decades by the time the other two novels ended. Here readers have an opportunity to discover how their love affair began and what these two men brought to their relationship which enabled them to be faithful and live productive lives together. Tymber Dalton has that wonderful flair for creating characters that really LIVE, not only in her imagination but they leap off the page and become a part of readers' lives as well. This is one of those novels that fills in the blanks and helps clarify the personalities of these two characters. Readers who enjoyed getting to know them after they were together will appreciate getting the scoop on how they began. A really terrific read.

I liked the ups and downs of the main characters relationships, there wasn't enough done on the other character. I would have liked it better if there was something more to how the other character struggled through his relationships as well.

I am absolutely in love with this series. I of course had to have this book and wait for the next one or ones in the series. This book was a little bit of a let down to me because I was hoping more of the boys then what was actually there. I was all prepared to see the extended years of Tommy and Tyler before Nevvie instead their years together were kinda rushed through. I like it I really did and if you love the second and third in this series I would suggest getting it, just be prepared going in that it seems a little rushed.
