STORY EXCERPT

Ulr couldn’t answer him. Magical fire rose within him, and he felt the heat envelop him, shining through his scales. He has never been so angry before.

“How dare he!” he hissed in the most menacing voice. “How dare that idiot let himself be captured! What is he thinking? Does he want me to wipe out these stupid shifters along with any idiot humans who’d get in my way?” Deep down he knew he wasn’t rational, but rage wasn’t a rational emotion. Brad was a soldier. Ulr knew it was his job to put himself in dangerous situations. But he also knew the idiotic human was more than capable of killing a bunch of measly shifters and freeing himself. So why didn’t he? Why had he not reported back?”

“Ulr!” His brother’s voice snapped him out of the red haze. Ulr was still seething, white smoke coming out of his nostrils, but at least he could think more clearly. “You’re scaring my treasure!” Ur growled in warning.

Ulr turned to look at Thom and saw the human’s uneasiness, despite the tight smile the man tried to keep on his face.

“It’s all right, Ur. I’m just not sure what’s going on,” Thomas said, and Ulr felt his emotions settle into something manageable.

“Do not tell Brennan anything,” he said, answering the question from before. “I’ll deal with it.”

“Deal with what?” Ur looked at him with a scowl Ulr recognized immediately. His brother had no idea what Ulr was talking about but was trying to be understanding. Bless Ur for his endless patience.

“Deal with Brad and his stupidity! Getting captured by shifters, seriously! What will be next? Offering himself as a sacrifice to elves? Stupid humans and their lack of self-preservation.” He huffed and turned to leave, then looked behind and added as an afterthought, “No offense, Thom. You’ve got more common sense than most of your kind.”

“Um, thank you.” Ur’s human hedged, looking at Ulr with shock in his eyes “So you’re going to rescue Brad?” Thom asked.

“Rescue him?” Ulr laughed. “No, he doesn’t need rescuing. He’s more than capable of taking care of himself. I’m gonna go, find him, and kick his ass for worrying everyone. Getting kidnapped by shifters! Of all the stupid, reckless, idiotic things…” Ulr mumbled to himself, shaking his head as he shuffled towards the cave entrance.

“Uhm, brother…” Ur’s hesitant voice stopped him where he stood in front of the cave, before he could launch into air. Ulr sighed and turned.

“What is it, Ur?” he asked. His wings itched to get to his Founding Piece, paddle his ass, then claim him and bring him to his cave where he would be safe from his own stupidity. He lifted his head and looked at Ur. His brother looked uneasy, and Ulr felt guilty.

Ur was the best brother an outcast of a dragon could have. He had never cared about Ulr being different. He was happy to share a territory and even let Ulr near his own treasure. Ulr knew Ur cared and worried for him. Right now the green dragon spoke.

“I know I usually don’t get all of what’s happening in your life, Ulr. You’re different than me, and I respect that. But this display, right now…” Ur paused, as if not sure how to describe it. “It was odd, even for you. We were talking about a human being taken by shifters. Shifters who are generally stronger and more agile than humans. This single human was taken by a whole bunch of them, and yet you claim he could rescue himself if he wanted. And not only that, you’re talking about him as if you know him. I don’t understand it, brother. I don’t understand any of it, but I worry. It’s unlike you to get so angry about something. You never seem to…” Ur paused, and Ulr finished for him.

“Care? Is that the word you’re looking for? Well, you’re right, I don’t usually care. I don’t care for territory, and I don’t care for silly dragon disputes. But I discovered that there is one thing I care about, and it is my Founding Piece.”

“Your Founding Piece? But…” Ur’s reptilian eyes widened in shock comically. Yeah, Ulr bet his brother was speechless.

“I didn’t tell you because I don’t believe he’s ready to be claimed.”

“He? You’re not talking about…”

“Brad the Black? The feared general of the human army, Demon of the Battlefields, and brother to our friend’s human, Brennan the Bard? Yeah, that’s exactly whom I’m talking about.” Ulr paused, then added gently. “Brad is special, Ur. I don’t know if he’s as gifted as Brennan, but he has this most beautiful, red, pulsing light within him. It’s violent and vicious and…”

He suddenly noticed that his voice had turned dreamy, so he cleared his throat and changed the subject. “Anyway, he’s more than capable of fighting off some shifters. They would need to be alphas, all of them, to subdue him by force. And you heard Thom. Brad gave himself up in exchange for some civilian. If he hasn’t returned yet, it means that there’s some reason for that. I’m gonna go, check what the reason is, and give the stubborn human a piece of my mind. I’m more than happy for him to have his freedom, be a general or whatever he wants to be, but this recklessness must end. I won’t have my Founding Piece getting himself kidnapped, making me chase him all the way to Shifter Territory.”

He started grumbling again, and left his still speechless brother in front of the cave, launching into the air and spreading his wings wide. Damn that stubborn human! He better not be injured, or else!

ADULT EXCERPT

Brad carried his dragon off to the woods. Somewhere, on the edges of his consciousness, a thought niggled at him, but he dismissed it. He had his prize, and he was about to claim it. The rush of adrenaline he had from battle made the blood pound in his veins, his mind focused only on fucking the dragon into submission.

Brad couldn’t remember a time after battle when he’d felt so free, unrestrained. The dragon he dragged with him was just as bloodthirsty of a beast as he was. He didn’t need to hide his true nature. Barely a few steps into the woods he stopped, pulled up the man he had tucked under his arm, and pushed him against a tree. Without a warning, he took Ulr’s mouth in a violent kiss, barely noticing when the dragon’s suddenly sharpened teeth cut his lip. Brad growled and pulled away. He jerked the man forward, then twirled him around, pushing the dragon face-first into the tree trunk. The man hissed, but from pain or pleasure, Brad wasn’t sure. One thing he was certain of. The dragon could take anything dished at him. Instead of pausing to check if the man was all right like he would do with a human, Brad pulled Ulr’s pants down.

“Stretch yourself,” he barked and was pleased to see that the dragon obeyed. The Golden Boy pushed two of his suddenly slick fingers into his ass and hissed from the burn. Brad felt one corner of his lip lift, showing off his teeth in a grimace that might be considered aggressive, but was indeed the expression of his unrestrained lust.

“Enough!” he barked again after just a minute. He knew how much Ulr liked the burn with his sex. Right now Brad was too impatient to wait. With one swift move, he pulled out his hard, throbbing dick and stepped forward. He kicked Ulr’s legs farther apart and grabbed both the man’s wrists in his hand. He pinned them to the tree above the dragon-man’s head and pushed with his body until Ulr’s chest was resting against the rough bark as well. Leaning forward, Brad used his other hand to guide his dick to Ulr’s quivering opening. He watched as his cockhead slowly sank into the man’s tight channel. He pushed in slowly, listening with delight to the man’s needy whimper. He focused intensely on the place where their bodies joined. Sinking in, then slowly pulling out, he distantly heard his lover’s moans. Ulr pushed out his ass, wanting, needing more. Brad only snarled and slapped the man’s ass cheek. Ulr hissed but stilled.

Satisfied with the dragon’s surrender, Brad started snapping his hips in a punishingly fast rhythm. Fucking the man hard, he almost immediately felt his orgasm approaching. He couldn’t wait too long. All of the adrenaline from the battle was making him crazy with lust. He leaned in and licked the side of his dragon’s face at the same time, reaching under the man with his free hand and grabbing Ulr’s hard dick.

Golden reptilian eyes looked back at him, the dragon-man smirking over his shoulder, showing a hint of sharp fang. Ulr said nothing. Brad closed his eyes as he rested his cheek against that of his dragon and panted. His hips sped up, as did his hand on Ulr’s prick. In seconds he felt tightening in his balls, and an orgasm was ripped out of him. He heard a long wailing moan and realized it came from him. He gave a few more shallow thrusts then stilled, breathing deeply.

Brad’s eyes snapped open when he heard a whimper. Ulr was gazing at him pleadingly. Brad followed the dragon’s eyes down and realized that, while he was coming, he’d tightened his fist’s hold on Ulr’s dick, preventing the man from reaching his own completion. Brad grinned evilly then looked into Ulr’s reptilian eyes. He leaned forward and took the dragon’s mouth in a slow, awkward, kiss eliciting a few more whimpers from deep down Ulr’s throat.

Slowly, Brad pulled his softened cock from Ulr’s ass, and, without releasing his hold on the man’s dick, he lowered himself to his knees. Released from the hold Brad had on his wrists and from the weight of Brad’s body, the dragon turned around and supported himself with his back to the tree. Brad looked up from under his lashes as he bent forward and guided the dragon’s dick to his lips. Ulr’s breath hitched in his throat when Brad took the man’s cockhead into his mouth and sucked on it gently. He twirled his tongue around it, reveling in the slightly bitter taste of the dragon’s pre-cum. He never stopped looking at Ulr as he sucked and nipped at the man’s dick. The tight hold he had on the base of it prevented the dragon from coming and prolonged the sweet torture. Brad knew, as soon as he let go Ulr would shoot his load.

Pulling away an inch, Brad opened his mouth wide still watching the dragon’s face intently. He loosened his fist and immediately felt Ulr’s dick twitch as it erupted in a volcano of hot cum. Strings of milky-white seed shot at Brad, some of it landing in his mouth, but the majority painting his face. He watched the dragon consume him with a hungry gaze as he licked his lips and swallowed all that he caught in his mouth. The dragon’s eyes narrowed, but Brad could see the heat of passion as well as satisfaction and something that looked suspiciously like possessiveness shine in those golden orbs.

For a long while they stayed like that, Brad sitting on his knees, watching his dragon, Ulr resting against the tree, as if his knees were too weak to hold him up.
