STORY EXCERPT

Jai had that feeling again. It was the same feeling that he’d been having for nearly a month now. It was more than the average sense of paranoia. He was convinced that someone wanted him dead. He tossed back the covers on his luxurious bed and rubbed his eyes as he adjusted to the darkness in the room. Something simply didn’t feel right and it was really getting to him.

He flipped the nightstand light on and blinked a few times at the sudden burst of light. Being paranoid wasn’t his normal style but he simply couldn’t shake the feeling of being watched. He stood from the bed and padded toward the large, luxurious bathroom attached to his room. The marble countertops held very little personal belongings as the mansion he lived in was not really for living. His entire life was for show and it was something he’d grown to regret.

He turned the faucet on and splashed cold water onto his face. Ever since being elected as a leader of Blackburn Force, he knew sleepless nights and hours of impressing people he didn’t like would follow. Back then, he liked the thrill of it all. Today, he simply wanted his old life back, one that wasn’t under the watchful eye of millions. Or more importantly, the one that didn’t get regular people killed.

Taking a deep breath, he reached for the hand towel to pat his face dry. A black figure caught his attention seconds before he was shoved up against the nearby wall. Fingers tightened around his neck, he gasped and struggled to breathe. The man was huge. Built like a brick and had the eyes of indifference. Jai tried to pry the fingers from his neck.

“Who sent you?” Jai gasped, trying his best to pry the steely grip of the intruder. “Tell me who wants me dead.”

The pressure lessened but his unwelcomed guest didn’t say anything. Jai blinked a few times trying to read the bulky figure. There was nothing definitive about him. He wore black. He was big. He had dark eyes. It could be any number of people that he knew or worked with. It could be a person that hated him from the opposing political party. There simply weren’t any answers, any descriptions to go on.

“You can at least tell me who my enemy is.”

The fingers released him and sweet blessed oxygen flowed back into Jai’s lungs. He doubled over trying to catch his breath while the man just stood there watching him.

“Do you want money for answers?”

The bulky figure folded his arms over his chest.

“Talk to me dammit!”

The man grabbed a fistful of Jai’s hair and yanked his head back. “If I were you, I’d hire a bodyguard. You’re security is fucked up.”

As quick as he came, he left. Jai took a deep breath and blinked a few times. The feeling didn’t quite go away. He still suspected that someone wanted him dead, but he didn’t know who. He rubbed his throat and turned the bathroom light off.

The bedroom was silent, no trace of the intruder anywhere. He glanced around for a point of entry and found none. He didn’t hear the door open and close when he came and left either. Perhaps if a masked man could enter his home and get past his supposed security team, then his security was indeed fucked up. How the hell did this happen?

Or better yet, what was he going to do about it?

Jai opened the door and went to find his chief of security, who was locked away in the dining room, playing poker with a few of his security team. Jai went livid.

“What the fuck are you doing down here?”

They all looked at him and immediately stood. Jai stared at the head of his security, panting like a bull ready to charge.

“You were asleep. The house is secure. We don’t have anything to do.”

Jai gave them a humorless laugh. “The house is secure? Really? Then how the fuck did some masked intruder enter my bedroom and nearly strangle me to death moments ago?”

He pointed to his neck where the red marks of the attack still lingered. Everyone in the room’s eyes widened. A few curses filled the silence while Jai waited for an answer.

“We’ll do a perimeter search.” The head of security started barking orders and the men dispersed. “I’m sorry, sir. It most definitely will not happen again.”

“I want you to find me a bodyguard. Someone to stay with me day and night. I don’t want some inexperienced twit with a gun. I want someone that knows what the hell they are doing and is lethal.” Jai ran a hand through his hair. “Do you understand me?”

“Yes, sir.”

ADULT EXCERPT

Brice reached out and rubbed the other man’s hand. From what he saw that day, mixed with all his snooping, Jai wasn’t a bad guy. Stressed, yes, but not a bad person. He wanted to make Blackburn Force a better place and with that, he worked non-stop with his advisors to change the planet for the better. There were several reports on food shortages for the northern side of the planet and many documents signed by him to take food to the people that needed it. He even had hand written notes to the people of the planet to let them know that he heard them and wanted to help.

It took a man with a great amount of class to do that.

He napped on and off for a while. Sleeping on a normal mattress after spending nearly seven years on a concrete slab was quite a difference. He also liked the feeling of having someone beside him. The warmth of Jai’s body made Brice feel some semblance of peace. He didn’t have a lot of human contact over the years. Most simply stuck around while they wanted something from him and then they left. No connection. No love.

“I like lying next to you.” Jai’s gruff voice sounded in the darkness as Brice lay there lost in his thoughts. “You make me feel safe.”

The tenderness, the vulnerability coming from him couldn’t have been easy. Hell, they didn’t know each other. There was no reason that he should trust him or think that for one second that he wouldn’t kill him with his bare hands. Brice glanced over at the man beside him, a small smile playing at his lips. The job had always been easy for him, but this one was not. Brice kissed him, a tender press of his lips against Jai’s. It grew more intense as the other man pushed him back against the mattress, his hands roaming the hard muscles of Brice’s bare chest.

Dragging his mouth to Brice’s chin, he lovingly nipped him before soothing the ache with his tongue. He’d never been much into kissing. It had always been an intimate act and Brice had no time for intimacy. Jai, however, liked kissing him. Brice found himself liking the act too. Jai tasted good. Manly yet sweet at the same time. He worked a hot path of wet kisses down Brice’s throat until he reached his nipples.

Swirling his tongue around one flat nipple Jai gently bit, sucking and licking until Brice moaned. His cock pressed against the other man’s leg and Jai reached down to stroke him.

“Are you needy, baby?” Jai whispered against his chest. “Do you want me to take care of this for you?”

His lips sucked at Brice’s other nipple giving it the same torment as he stroked his cock at an achingly slow rhythm. Brice gripped the man’s shoulders and dragged him upward. A hot clashing of tongues and teeth had Brice on edge. Jai moved so that he straddled him, in no hurry to take care of Brice’s need as he continued to lick and explore his mouth. The other man arched over him, rubbing his ass against Brice’s stiff dick just to tease.

Brice could tease too. He rubbed his thumb over the head of Jai’s cock, drawing the drop of fluid around the tip. Jai groaned into Brice’s mouth before tearing his lips away.

“I need you in me, now.”  Jai reached for the lube before gripping Brice’s cock and angling it toward his ass.

Before it had been electric. Hot, raw, passionate. It was what typical fucking entailed. It’d been good too. And it would be good again. Like hot velvet, Jai’s ass gripped the tip of his cock. His lover arched over him, sinking down ever so slowly with his eyes closed and his head thrown back in ecstasy. Yeah, it was that fucking good for him too.

Jai leaned back and rocked his hips slowly. “You feel amazing inside me.”

Brice stroked Jai’s cock while the man rode him. Whimpers and moans filled the silence surrounding them. It was fucking good. Too fucking good. Brice lifted Jai off him and turned the man over so that he lay on his stomach. Taking complete control, he filled him again with one harsh thrust.

Jai clutched the sheets grunting as Brice took him. The tight grip of Jai’s ass around his cock did him in. His fingers dug into Jai’s hips as he thrust and withdrew, each time going deeper into his willing body.
