4 STARS: "PROTECTORS by Samantha Blair is a sexy menage story with a back story that provides an element of suspense. Combined with plenty of delicious sex, the book is a good read. The premise revolves around a woman, Sara, leaving an abusive and dangerous boyfriend. As Sara tries to escape, she is struck by a truck driven by local and sexy ranchers Tyler and Gage. Believing them to be gay and feeling safe in that knowledge, she allows them to take her to their home. After she shares her story, they patch up her injuries and vow to keep her safe. It was sexy how the men serve as the ultimate protectors when Sara's ex-boyfriend comes after her. And though content in their relationship, they've always wanted a third partner and believe they've found it in Sara. Now they just need to eliminate the threat of her ex-boyfriend and help her reclaim the things she's lost. Then they can show her just how they plan to share her for the rest of their lives. Sara, Tyler and Gage were solid, likable characters. The small details helped to connect the reader to the character and added depth to the story. Tackling an issue like abuse is often difficult in a romance but it was done well in this book.
