I spent over a decade in the stock market, finance and IT industry. I had always considered writing a chore. A job to pay the bills as taxation and financial modeling can be a very dry subject.

After a few laughs and I will admit a few drinks I decided to make a change of genre. I then discovered my love and passion for writing. I have so many stories and adventures to tell my poor fingers can’t keep up.

When I am not writing, reading, or playing with my latest technology toy (yes I am a geek and proud of it!), I am enjoying my three beautiful children, hoping that the day they realize that they outnumber me never comes. I would love to say that like so many other authors in this genre that I thank my loving and supportive husband but alas I’m a divorcee, waiting for the day when my hero, my knight in shining armor will come and sweep me off my feet. Until then the heroes in each of my stories keep me warm. Also, dating gives me fantastic ideas.

I hope that you enjoy reading each of my books as much as I enjoyed writing them. Visit my websitewww.sarakingston.com and join my Facebook group, or even send me an email. I love to hear from fellow romance and erotica lovers.

Q: When did you start writing?

A: You know, I thought about stretching the truth and saying my love of writing began as a child. But bluntness and honesty are my nature, so I’ll be brutally frank and say I never imagined myself as a writer, even after completing my first manuscript. When asked as a child what I wanted to be when I grew up I always answered…rich. It was this goal that led me to a career in the finance industry. Writing reports, lectures and manuals on taxation and finance modeling was the only writing experience I’d had until this year. I’m still so thankful that I discovered this new career path. I have a passion and love for my work, and finally, I actually love what I do!

Q: Why did you select erotica?

A: Erotica is so easy for me to write and discuss. The reason behind my lack of inhibition would probably stem from my free-loving hippy parents. I still find it strange that with age they have both become so conservative. In their youth and throughout my childhood our family celebrated freedom of speech, fight for your rights, questionable clothing and that parents are human beings and make mistakes just like us all. Even though I was born in the seventies and a bit late for the true freedom movement my parents didn’t care. Growing up where no subject was taboo, I was given the freedom to question anything. This led to my brother, sister and me being very open and frank people. Believe it or not, I actually had a conversation with my mom about whether butter or cooking oil would be a better lubricant in one of my stories. I’m not so open as to ask her if she’s tried either, there are limits.

Q: How do you come up with the stories for your books?

A: One morning I sat at my computer while my kids were at their dad’s house and decided to write a story. The idea just popped into my head and I thought what the heck. By the end of the weekend I had my first book almost finished. The words just flowed out as if I was talking to a friend. I was shocked to realize I had written 40,000 words. As a child I was filled with stories and adventures and as an adult those stories have just taken on a more adult twist. In a way I'm like a fine wine, age only makes me better (LOL!). I have more stories than my poor fingers can type out. If you asked my family (excluding my children) they would say my wild misspent youth would give me thousands of stories

Q: So are all your stories based on imagination or any real life situations?

A: In each story I have included many situations similar to some of my real life experiences (positions, toys etc.). Alas none of the heroes in my books exist in real life so far, although I’m still waiting. However, a few have similarities to some people I know, and maybe even have dated.

Q: What is your aim with each book?

A: To give my readers an escape, a moment in time where they get to participate in my characters’ lives and not worry about their own. A place they can read about their ultimate fantasy; hopefully they might even be able to try a few of them, or at least they can live vicariously through my characters. My hope is that it will bring some spice to each of my reader’s relationships (I was married for eleven years. I do remember).

Q: So you are a single mom with three kids. How do you find the time to write?

A: A well-timed smooth running household, where everyone knows their routine, and with some help from technology. Gone are the days of being trapped behind a desk, or even carrying a notebook computer around. Some days will find me typing madly on my iPad, waiting for my kids to finish a swim training, or at my favorite coffee shop filling in the hour for ballet or piano. Once I had a great idea for a scene in a book, while sitting in my hairstylist’s chair. Out came my iPad, and by the time she had finished I had a chapter bedded down and ready to edit later.
